self pep talk time

Right, so I can see there are many more improvements I can make in my life. That's because I surround myself with people who manage things better than I do -- one of them being my wife -- but that is a good thing.

That does not detract from the fact I am much better than I was 10 years ago, and miles ahead of 15 years ago. I've ridden almost 30 miles on my bike today. I went to Pilates yesterday. I'm under 150 lbs. (numbers are easy to measure) which is as thin as I have ever been as an adult. I live in a nice house, and when I have my own flat, it will be nice, and clean, and tidy. People at work trust me and respect me. I can be assertive when I need to be, but still not a dick (usually). I have managed to live in three countries and I am a decent skier. I care about how I look and how I act.

And there is more to come. That doesn't mean every day isn't a struggle; it always will be.

I will spare the self-flagilation for now, I do that enough here.
