It is early of a Wednesday.
Burrito Quest rolls along, yet, with another Taco Bell Trek in the can. And I added some intro/outro music to the deal, which may have, in the processing to bring their relative volumes closer in line, messed with the audio of the recording more than I intended. I'm not even sure how to express what I feel is wrong in audio terms, such is the level of my expertise. It sounds more...crackly?
Speaking of Friday, I spent it hanging out some with a recuperating
tsiar, and game-storming over okra-tinis and Guinness with
phargle. I was disappointed at how early I got tired on Friday. Then I got into the car to drive home and realized their clock in the office had not been sprung forward. Hopefully this Friday will see more Dead Elf D&Ds, perhaps with caffeine facilitating a later night.
The weekend was of the long-ish variety and was filled with babies and Mom. Mom came over Saturday to watch the kids so Carrie and I could go out on a date. We has decided to go see Source Code but got to the theater and realized how long it had been since we tried to go to a movie on Saturday night. Instead we shopped around for a new tv stand (which wouldn't actually hold a tv since it's now mounted to the wall), then went and got some sushi. Mom stayed the night and hung out most of the next day, which was nice since I came down with some sort of sore throat crud and having an extra pair of hands with the twins for most of the day was...handy. The crud, minus the sore throat, hung around Monday (and has yet to leave, making me suspect sinusitus of some sort) so I took the day off work.
Oh, and the government did not shut down. Which reminds me that I have a job I need to go get ready for. Also, that I need to finish up taxes. Kids + medical expenses for last year should net a sizable return.
Speaking of kids, they are both flipping themselves onto their stomachs regularly. Owen has also begun to be mobile, of a sorts. Flipping belly to back, and vice-versa, he moved himself about 6 feet across the floor the other day. They are also regularly imbibing solid foods, which makes diaper changing much more interesting, mostly from an olfactory perspective.
Julie and fam are coming to town this weekend. I will endeavor to play some Castle Ravenloft with Ross. I have been meaning to get to that on the past two or three visits, but events conspired agin it.
Oh, and after logging in for the second time in a week with essentially no moves to be had, I gave up on this run of Third World. Martial law did not save me.
