When Valenpires Roam the Earth!

We ate in what may be the nicest restaurant in Carl-Bad.  I say this because the atmosphere elicited the comment from Carrie that it didn't "feel like" we were Carl-Bad at all.  Good food, relaxed atmosphere, I'd go back.

The night we got there Jalie (my niece) threw up three or four times and Julie was convinced she had come down with a bug that was going around school.  Almost called off taking the kids to Deidre's baby shower but she assured us that Cliff had already had it so there were no worries.  Either way I stayed home to make sure Jalie was ok, and she was, catching up on sleep while I read on the couch.

I also moved Ross's xbox into the living room and we fired up the kinect.  I think Dance Central sold Carrie on the device.  So much so that we've discussed moving the living room around to accommodate it.  We were thinking about moving it around anyway since we'll be moving the coffee table out when the kids start getting mobile.

And on that front, Owen has managed to roll himself onto his side consistently, once even going so far as to get all the way to his stomach.  Not that he knows what to do once he's there, or how to get back.  He was doing it once while trying to reach out and grab Paige when his foot hit her hand and she snatched his sock off.  I figured he was practicing it frantically last night since today was the first day of daycare and he didn't want to show up without skillz.  Daycare went pretty well apparently, Carrie even managing to get over there and visit them for lunch.  Anyway, it doesn't seem to have fazed them at all.  Not that I'll notice much during the week but I think it will definitely be weird for Carrie to suddenly only be attending to 2 feedings a day.

I find myself with the desire to create.  Projects that need doing include making a solar jar lantern, and turning the Taters & Onyuns box I brought back from Mississippi to make a toy box for the kids.

family, games, stuff, sick
