The experimental excursion went ok last night. We decided to go out to Las Trancas. As we drove over there both kids woke up and started crying like crazy, so we decided to bag it and head on home. About 5 minutes after we passed the restaurant they both fell asleep so we turned around and went back. Got the car seats set up on the high chairs and ordered food when Paige woke up and started throwing a fit. So I spent the meal holding a sleeping baby girl. Owen spent the meal watching Carrie eat. All in all, not horrible first experience, and it was good to do it just to kind of show ourselves what it would be like. Most people, I would imagine, take small babies out to restaurants because they'd like a night out and don't have anyone to watch the kid(s). We're in different position having such a good support system around us. If we wanted to have a night out I doubt we'd have much of a problem getting Mom to babysit. Oh, and Las Trancas was good. It might become my go-to Mexican food place for a while.
