Oh field trips. There's nothing like 4 hours on a bus with 30 kids. Thank God for ipods...and squishy pillows...and Cheezits.
Never, ever go to the Planetarium show at the Orlando Science Center. Seriously the dumbest thing I've ever seen. I tried to go to sleep but the woman next to me was thoroughly entertained and would bust out laughing at various points jolting me out of my slumber. The dinosaur movie was cool. I learned that Velosa Raptors had feathers. Tim and I tried to sneak into the bodies exhibit by pretending we had lost a kid...and got denied. Then we tried to go in through the gift shop at the end...and got denied again.
Our hybrid group of A and B was even more reduced in numbers because none of the kids wanted to be at camp at 7 in the morning (none of the counselors did either but we didn't have a choice). So I had 3 kids in my group and Debbie had 5. For whatever reason Pat decided she needed to hang with us all day, so with her and Tim we had 4 counselors (and 2 parents) for 8 kids. Amazingly, we still managed to lose one. We had just gotten out of the movie theater and we were going down stairs to make a bathroom run before the glorious planetarium show *puke*. We counted 8 kids, and then got on the elevator. Group D was all on the other side of the glass elevator watching us go down so I started being obnoxious and making faces at them. As we were going down, I looked all the way to the left of the row of kids and saw one of ours. I was like "meeeh Taylor and Jacob's ugly and oooohhhh Bobby..." *turns around* "BOBBY!!". As soon as the elevator doors opened Tim sprinted up the stairs to find him and we took the kids back to the bathroom. We got back in line for the second movie and we all laughed at the ridiculous counselor to child ratio that we had and we still lost a kid haha. (The ratio is 1.25 btw)
Gracie is broken.
