So, I'm here!
My mom watched me go through the airport until the last second she could and I'm sure she was crying by the end of it, sigh. She sure isn't taking this too well. Anyway! Australia is pretty hot. Like insta-sweat the whole time, so hopefully it cools down some or I find some shade. Then again, I've only been here for like six hours.
The girl I thought was gonna be on my flight... wasn't on my flight, haha, maybe I'll see her around our housing cause... really it's pretty small compared to what I'm used to at MSU. This campus is tiny compared to State too. I hiked around it a little with a guy I met at the airport named Pat and a girl that saw me in my underwear when I was yelling to Pat to wait for me, her name is Megan. Coincidentally, the girl that is from State that lives near me is also named Megan, hmm.
I don't have any roommates yet, and it looks like I'm only gonna have two of them, we share a bathroom too, but three people using one bathroom will be plenty. The shower I took when I got here was amazing! I have a pink wall. And a lot of other things in this place is pink. Ha! Pink and Sea Green. Maybe women lived here before. I'm not giving my room up to any girls though because I have a freakin' sweet view/balcony. Definitely the best room. There is a BBQ like in the center of our dorms and I look right at it. I hung my State flag in the window, represent!
Anyway, I gotta go to the international study abroad BBQ thing now. Whew!
