Today has been a great day.
We really need to be thankful for every day we have. If it sucks, its our job to make it better. Nothing should keep us from feeling happy and the way we want to. If you don't like the situation you're in, change it.
This seems simple enough, and maybe i'm the only naive idiot who finds this philosophy surprising, but i'll imagine i'm not alone in the matter. Seriously, living like this has made my life so much less stressful this semester. I am just happy to be. I'm happy for everything that I have. I'm less jealous. I feel like a shmuck for letting myself become so high-strung last semester. I just feel at peace, even though I am under the same situations I was in last semester. Classes are bound to be difficult. My extra-curricular activites are the same, and my job is the same, but my attitude is optimistic :-) I love life at this moment.
Speaking of love, I love the all-american rejects. I wish i would have come to enjoy their music as much before i went to their concert. i don't know if its the lyrics or the music that i like better, but in combination, they are just amazing.
My roommates are awesome. Last semester, they were less than exemplary. Nick Norman was really awesome, but other than him, the other ones didn't really talk to me much. I am just lucky to have such cool guys to live with this year.
My mom did this ear candling thing to me the other day, which was really weird. its like this wax cone that you put inside your ear and light from the top. as it melts, it creates a vaccuum, which pulls all this wax and crap out of your ear. it was crazy how much junk i had in there. apparently it is supposed to keep you from getting sick as often, and help you hear better. my ears are less clogged!
i am working out tomorrow morning. :-) i can't wait. my grandma bought me a gift card from GNC for christmas, so i'll have to go check that out and buy some protein...maybe tomorrow night. well, lovers, i'm headed to bed.
