Whatever you do, don't let her try to stop you from living your life. I've been in that situation. You have to do what you have to do, even if that means moving to Buffalo and all of us on LI missing you like crazy. If she loves you, which I'm sure she does, she'll deal with it and still love you.

Hey Ad...next time I call from Germany...hold the phone out to her and go...
"Hey mom, Germany's on the phone and they want their fuhrer back." It would be funny just to hear that. (And I probably spelled fuhrer wrong...but oh well...you get the drift.)
Anywho...whatever you decide, be happy with it. And dude...word of advice...don't put bleach in with colored clothes...not pretty. And don't leave the wet clothes sitting in the washing machine...they'll get moldy after a while. Stuff you probably already know...but still...I'm just making sure.
Just remember, it's your life and you are an adult. Follow your own heart and you'll be just fine.

Well honey I didn't even know you were thinking of moving but good luck with whatever you decide to do, and of corse I wont expect you at meetings if you live in Buffalo, but I will expect you to call the day after to find out what happened.

You'll be sorely missed *frown*
My bitchiness isn't nearly as fun or effective from that far away.

Does this mean you got the job? Or are you still waiting to hear?

Anyway, more laundry advice, separate your clothes by color. Wash dark and brightly colored things separate from your whites and in cold water. Don't put 100% cotton or wool in the dryer. Read care labels. If it says Dry Clean Only chances are you shouldn't wash it with water or it will do something funky to the fabric but this isn't a set in stone law. Dryell is your friend.

Feel free to ask questions. I had to teach myself how to do laundry so I know what you will go through.

Your mom and my mom should never be in the same place. It could get ugly.

okay, why cold water, doesn't hot water do a better job for the killing of bacteria? Cotton or wool in dryer...thanks, i never knew that one! What's dryell?

Hot water makes the colors run and the water in your washer doesn't typically get hot enough to kill the bacteria. So if you wash your red shirt with your white shirt in hot water you get a red shirt and a pink shirt.

Dryell is dry cleaning in your dryer. Saves a lot of time and some money.
