1) Unloading a U-Haul takes a lot less time than loading it. A project that we allotted hours for took only 45 minutes, which is good because we were getting a ton of snow at the same time.
2) My room is starting to look like my room. And what's even better, once I finish putting all of my things away I get to sleep in there again.
3) Ice cream is an excellent remedy for sadness, or at least it is a highly satisfactory short term solution.
On the flip side of these good things, I cannot find my picture of Arielle and I at graduation anywhere in my stuff. I've combed through everything and it's nowhere to be found. I will have to make another sweep through the vehicles tomorrow before I go help my grandmother with holiday things. I really, really hope it turns up.
I am also contemplating grad school. I scheduled an audition date at DePaul just in case, and I started their online app. I wish Purdue weren't just starting their new MFA actor cycle, because the next schoolyear they'll be casting is 2011-12. Their program is almost identical for master's students as the one at Iowa, and I'd get super cheap in-state tuition. But I want to get the ball rolling for DePaul in case I decide to go for it. It's one of the two Chicago theatre dreams I've always had, along with being in the Court Theatre company, so why the hell not? I would need to get three letters of rec from "people who can talk about your interest in theatre and The Theatre School." I'm thinking Eric Forsythe, Scott Pardue, and Casey. A cool mix, in my opinion, but I want to hear back from them first about what kind of aid is available to grad students. If I can't get some assistance, there's no point to making those people go through the trouble of writing me a letter if I can't even afford to go. We'll see how all of that pans out.
