Ok, so I didn't get a chance to write this right away after the first Bible study on Wednesday night, but I finally got a chance. The study went fairly well, the only thing was that there was practically no one there. There were six people- two of which were teens. Two leaders (Dave and me), two youth ministers, and then the teens Megan and Kelly. Kelly isn't really even a High school teen though (the group is aimed at high schoolers), she is going to be a sophomore in college next year... and she is the daughter of one of the youth ministers. *PSI* So really there was only *ONE* teen. I tried not to get discouraged, but... I mean we had one teen! So I offered it up... and then when the leaders were praying at adoration afterward, we prayed that God would send us more for next week...
We are going to be talking at the Sunday Masses and we will have a booth in the narthex and hand out flyers, so hopefully more teens will be come next week.
Interestingly, it was the feast day of St. Aloysius Gonzaga, patron of youth.
St. Aloysisus, and John Paul the Great, PRAY FOR US!!
More patrons of youth:
