Quote of the Day:
D: Huh, they're trying to make a TV series of "A Song of Ice and Fire."
T: I guess it could work, it'd take them years to get caught up with the books.
D: I don't know how they'd make it look nice though, without spending lots of money. Though I suppose HBO does have a big budget.
T: Yeah.
D: ...They should do it with MUPPETS!
T: That's your answer to everything.
D: Oh come on! Like Miss Piggy was not made to play Catelyn Stark!

I am finding that I actually like my metalworking class. A lot more than my color class, which I did not go to on Tuesday because I have some sort of nasty Indiana cold and wanted to go home and rest right after work. I was going to stay home from work but two people were out that day and so I didn't feel like I could really do that. So I sat in my corner, took cold medicine, and tried to remember what I was doing.

Anyway, I like metalworking. Sure, when he lectures and demonstrates us to death I get kind of twitchy, but when he actually lets us work a type of Zen takes over and it's honestly really fun. I actually find myself looking at the clock and more often wishing I had a bit more time to play instead of wishing I could go back to work and then home. Working with metal is fun.

Now, I'm not sure if I'll like our first "found object" assignment (found objects = hate for those following along) but I like working with the tools. Even though I break my saw blades all the time. And the class is major crazy expensive.

IHOP has a new "fruit crepe fever" promo. They look good, but crepes are one of those things that look good on paper but you put them in your mouth and you're like "oh, that's right, I don't like this." Well, I am anyway. Depends on the crepe. If the crepe is really crispy it's okay, but a bad crepe is squishy. And squishy crepes remind me of my mother's awful swedish pancakes. And those were disgusting.

They WERE! There's a reason I don't go to the IKEA cafe! Swedish meatballs are disgusting too. Blech.

I should go take my shower and get ready to go. Wm has been really nice lately and driving me to work and/or picking me up. It really saves me some time, and the grief associated with riding the bus. He's a bit sweetheart. But he's been working odder hours lately because his job is busy right now.

My job is busy too, I was gone on Friday and have to play a bit of catchup and it sucks. At least I still like what I do, but I hate being so behind.
