Seriously, I was flipping through - or I suppose clicking through - Cooking for Engineers again and I ran across Michael Chu's reviews for this show and now I must find a way to go some year.
Cooking for Engineers is the best site ever. I have yet to have one of his recipes fail me. Though some of the meat dishes are a little underflavored at times...but meat is one of those things where it's easy to improvise. His baking recipes are wonderfully detailed and often well illustrated. It's like Betty Crocker for the internet age...except instead of being written for housewives who hate to cook but have to because they're women it's written by and for someone who loves to cook.
So...SAN DIEGO!
Except fancy conventions cost fancy money. Also it looks like they may cater to businesses. Hmm...maybe I can convince them that dawnspring and I make fancy cakes uh huh yeah.
