So my first week of classes is over, and ended splendidly, with a 9 in my Audiovisuals final. Yay for me! In addition, on Monday we Argentinians have a national holiday, so that means long weekend!Double yay!
Other college-related news: we've got 2 more exchange students , a boy and a girl, from the Basque Country! They will be attending Audiovisuals II classes with us. I chatted a bit and with them and thought they were cool, but couldn't understand their names 'cause were weird and VERY difficult to pronounce^^'.
And then, the shopping news:
1)I got a book! It's no big deal, actually, since it's something I've got to read for college, but I get so excited when I buy books! Specially when they're cheap (10 bucks, in this case) and I get them on the bookstores from Corrientes. Corrientes is an Avenue (and also a province, but that doesn't matter in this case) famous in Buenos Aires for its theaters, pizza places/cafes and new&used bookstores. If you're looking for fair prices or rarities, it's THE place to go. It's two blocks away from my college and also from my former highschool, so I'm very attached to it. And which it's the book I've bought? The birth of tragedy, by Friedrich Nietzsche.
2)Today I received my Avon order, which meant a new facial scrub for me. Gosh, if I didn't buy the products I'm supposed to be selling, I would have much more money by now than I actually have!
3)While looking for a library specialised in cinema publications (which I never found 'cause they've moved out...there was a spa instead¬¬), I came across a place called "Sabater Hermanos" where I used to shop all the time. The place in question is...a soap store! No, I'm not kidding, it's an awesome place! They elaborate their own soaps with the most original shapes, and the most varied smells! Grape, chocolate, grass, lavender, coconut, vanilla, strawberry, you name it!There's even one soap that smells like pot! After being a while in there you end up sneezing like hell, but it's worthy! I bought 3 soaps for Sebastian, one in the shape of a heart, another in the shape of a couple holding hands, and the last one was a regular one, but had a legend. It said "would you have a bath with me?". I was really tempted to buy another one, which said "This soap doesn't wash out the concience", but I was afraid of getting carried away, so I didn't:P Corny?Hell yes!
And now I'm off to watch a movie, Peeping Tom, which I've just checked on IMDb and seems very interesting. I'll tell you my opinion after I see it...
shopping!,
long weekend!,
finals
