November rain

So the rainstorm has finally stopped (for now), but after a whole rainy weekend I've got the right to complain! Yucky yucky rain¬¬ In fact, if it wasn't for the deluge things would've been different, thought that doesn't mean good or bad.

Saturday noon, woke up and decided I'd rather stay home than going to Sebastian's, as travelling when it's raining so heavily kinda freaks me out (never trust Argentine drivers- ever!), so I called him and got into a bit of an argument, as he had already woken up and was waiting for me. Put some music on to get ready to spend a depressing afternoon, but by the time the last song from the first CD was coming to and end, somebody rang the door bell, and guess what? It was Sebastian! Yay for surprises! Of course, my second thought was that I was looking like crap, as I wasn't expecting anyone (in fact, I was still in my night gown:P) but fortunately love makes people go blind^^ He brought his netbook, watched Vertigo (Hitchcock's the man!), and then proceeded to read me Marguerite Duras' novel The Lover...in French! Yup, he's bringing my rusty French back with some listening comprehension, lol. I can't say it's been easy, but I did exceeded all my expectations...sure, they weren't that high, as I was sure all my French knowledge was lost (which is kinda sad if we take into account that I had French during my whole highschool time, but my teachers weren't that interesting in teaching¬¬), but it was a good start. I do wonder how did Sebastian manage to stand me throughout the reading, as I had to stop him rather frequently to ask him about the meaning of certain terms/ make him repeat certain phrases/ explain me certain passages (in my defense, the story isn't narrated in cronological order, and the narrator uses the first AND the third person to refer to her indistinctively, so it can be painfully hard to understand when you're "out of practice")...
Didn't go to the party I mentioned on my previous entry, though  I did apologise...felt somehow sorry for the organisers, as it seems I awas far from being the only one who didn't show up, but then again, it was due to reasons that exceeded me^^' Sounds like a lame excuse, but I don't care, I hate rainstorms!

On Sunday I went to Sebastian's (luckily the rain had stopped by the time I decided to take the bus), worked on my internship thingy (should be typing my notes in order to send them to Guille right now^^'), had some more listening comprehension on The Lover (really interesting plot btw) and had dinner at San Miguel, the place were we had dinner last time we celebrated our animonthary. We ordered squid ribs (which were absolutely delicious!) plus milanesas...Yup, I still feel my sotmach heavy, lol:P
