Samvega & Prasada

I believe you should never burden others with your samvega. Keep it private. If you feel bad, fix it yourself, when you are alone; Don't rely on someone else to fix your problems for you. Everything you think and feel is a product of your own mind, and therefore any change in mentality is going to necessarily come from yourself. In the end nobody can change your mind except yourself.

Public display and persona should always be influenced by your prasada. It is only polite to be fully happy and accommodating around others. Don't burden them with problems you have that they are unwilling or unable to help you with. Be a shining star, let them want to be just like you, full of love and strength.

The samvega-prasada dichotomy is the binary set of emotions that we all experience. All zeroes and ones. On or off. They are both necessary. When you make mistakes, you feel bad and experience samvega. This negative experience works to teach you to not subject yourself to those experiences again. The accomplishment associated with prasada gives an ecstatic feeling to strive toward again. The chemicals in your brain are arranged to make you try to become more happy.
