Vladimir is indeed super-awesome. This is the first time I've had a crush on a Russian fictional character since Prince Andrei Bolkonsky :)

I am actually excited because, for once, my bilingualness is fun (I do read a lot of Russian books, but somehow, I haven't been into them for a little bit. Of course, now I am on a binge of that sort too...)

Nope. There is plenty of Russian language fanfic (including Vladimir/Michael slash which totally surprised me because Russia is so much more conservative than US) but nothing in English, to my knowledge.

Sigh. I find it so unfair that there are no English subs for this series. Now I will have to go and learn some Russian, on top of Japanese and Korean. Overseas dramas are killing me.

I seriously contemplated learning Chinese (went as far as locating classes) to watch some Taiwanese dramas so I can relate!

Andrei is adorable. He (of course) has his own drama, because he is engaged to Natalie who he loves as a childhood friend, but he is also into serf girl Tatiana (but aman of his time, he doesn't even think of freeing her or marrying her, unlike Vladimir). So he is torn between them and it's cute ;)
