Seriously. I am seven episodes into Full House and only going to bed because some remnants of sanity dictate.
It's also interesting, because normally the character I choose as a POV one or I glom onto emotionally is male, but here it's definitely Ji-Eun who is adorable and I love her, and whenever she gets upset, I get upset too.
So whenever Young-Jae makes her upset, I feel horrible. I hope he gets some angsty payback. But not too much, as I like him quite a lot and find it interesting that he does so many nice things for her but he denies to the death that he is doing them (e.g. when he goes to the amusement park to look for her or looks for the wedding ring etc etc). I just want him to not just fall back in love with her (I think he is rather there, even if he doesn't realize it yet. He misses her terribly when she is gone though he pretends he doesn't care and when she tries 'we don't see each other' routine, he drags her out on the slimmest pretext) but also to angst over her some as well.
I would prefer a more peaceful relationship myself, but they seem to thrive on bickering. And they are so adorably young and prickly and just guuuuuuuuuh. He is at his youngest with her, and while sometimes it means they just fight, the rest of the time we just get such adorable scenes as when she draws a replacement watch and ring on him and he does it back, or when they play around on the abandoned playground, or when she teaches him that childish song about bears. And he opens up to her (when he tells her about his dead sister and he is all vulnerable and explains why he likes giving ice-cream as a panacea and it's such an 'aha' moment).
And when, because it's her birthday, he takes her to the closed amusement park and she teaches him to ice-skate? OMG. OMG.
BUT BUT BUT. Whenever they get too close the stupid bitch Hye-Won shows up (e.g. when YJ takes JE out and has to cut it short because HW needs him). She knows he loves her and he will care for her and she just uses it as an ego boost. I hate her with the strength of ten thousand suns. There are total women like that. She never had any interest in Young-Jae, and she still doesn't want him, she is not in love with him. She just can't face the thought of any other woman having him either, as if he is her property. That thing she asks with 'who do you like better, me or your wife' (and she doesn't know the marriage is a sham after all) is AWFUL. And he is so sweet and upfront and caring with her, and he definitely tells her that he can't let go of her hand until she lets him go, and you basically see what he is capable of, in a relationship, for and with a woman he cares for, but it's all wasted on the game-playing egotistical skank. I love when JE finally tells her off and tells her YJ is not a toy.
And of course HW tells her that she is going to get his heart first and it's pure nastiness and ego.
