My Favorite Half-Dozen Kdramas of 2012 so far...
1. Shut Up Flower Boy Band - a story about growing up, friendship, love (it has the most functional teen OTP that I have ever seen) and finding oneself, it sounds so cliche, but it utterly wasn't. My one perfect drama of 2012.
2. Bridal Mask/Gaksital - yes, despite the ending, this is still one hell of an amazing gutwrenching ride of a period epic.
2 (tie). Faith - this time traveling period drama is pretty much the most perfect romance kdrama has ever made, as far as I am concerned.
2 (still tie). Queen In Hyun's Man - speaking of a perfect romance, this one turned me into a temporary lunatic (and yes, it's another time-travel romance. Despite that, it and Faith have pretty much nothing in common).
5. A Gentleman's Dignity - I often loathe romcoms but this was one sparkling, romantic, witty delight. My 'pick me up' drama.
6. Love Rain - a swoonily romantic melodrama about forbidden love (with a happy ending, thankfully) with the best cinematography this year.
