OMG, I shouldn't be surprised that this drama raises the stakes in each episode but I still ended up gobsmacked after watching episode 16. This is epic and what more, it's great writing. All the clues were here from the start.

I've always thought it odd that the president went to see YS's mother at the beginning of the drama. The tone of their conversation was strange as well. I did wonder if they'd had a thing but then the writers cleverly heaped some other stuff on us and I never thought about it again. I filed it under a header titled "Pres had a friendly relationship with his bodyguard and knew his family pretty well".

I am pretty sure this is when YS would find out the truth and is there any doubt that it would destroy him, mind and soul, utterly? He's already teetering on the edge as is.
That or something even more cruel to my mind: having him know *before* he takes him down. It would be like a parallel to what YS himself was going to do to Prosecutor when he wanted him to bring down his own father. Oh, the anguish it would ( ... )

I totally forgot that the president wasn't actually the president back in 1983. So MY wouldn't have been his bodyguard. Probably like a little brother then.

This is a rare drama I am glad I am unspoiled for!

I didn't even think anything weird about Pres going to see a random woman because I was all 'oh he feels bad for her husband' but then why didn't he go to some other family member of one of the other 20?

That or something even more cruel to my mind: having him know *before* he takes him down.

It would even more cruel because at least Prosec knew all the facts for years. This would be YS finding out that everything has been a lie in his life at one point (who his father is, Undaddy, revenge, lies about his Mom dumping him etc) except for Nana. But I don't know if Undaddy will risk it, he seems to think YS is weak ( ... )

But I don't know if Undaddy will risk it, he seems to think YS is weak.

That's was I was thinking as well. Narratively I think telling him beforehand to torture him because he'll still be obliged to take RealDaddy down would have more impact but Undaddy has seen that YS is more human than he would like so that would be a risk. But wouldn't that also be a test: "Here are the facts. Now take care of Target n°5 aka Daddy". And if YS doesn't comply, maybe he'd planned to kill both the president and YS.

We'll see how this play out.

Btw, remember Nana telling him that he should tell her now that he will come to her once his revenge is over and if he doesn't tell her now, she won't take him back even if he comes to her after? I am kinda worried, sure she loves him, but she is a woman of her word. What do you think?
I've been thinking about it as well. So far, the drama has never given us useless info/conversations. So we can be pretty sure that heartbreaking conversation between the two will come back into play. I guess what will ( ... )

When YS finds out the truth about his father he will need Nana the most. I mean his whole life has been life and she is probably the only person who has been sincere with him the only pure thing in his life. I don't really think there will be a happy ending i am hoping for an open ending though. Some people on DB think that Nana's dad will wake up and it might be that he was the one who shot the soldiers do you think that this is plausible.

True - the only untainted, sane, true thing in his life has been Nana. Everything else is either a lie or a delusion. He needs her so much!

I hate open endings. I would almost prefer an epically tragic ending like IRIS' over it.

I was thinking about sniper=Nana's Daddy thing but I am not sure 4 eps is enough to cram that in, in addition to everything else. But that would be brilliant and heartbreaking.

Completely diabolical.... It does make absolute sense why he's so brutal with YS growing up. T_T

I know! I was wondering how he could sleep at night treating Moo Yool's son the way he did, but if it's the President's son it makes sense - he'd probably feel a surge of hatred every time he looked at him and if it wasn't for him being the perfect tool, YS would have had a short life in addition to a horrible one.

I'm disappointed at our OTP's actions in the last 4 episodes. I thought once Nana joined the City Hunter team, there'd be hot makeouts and they'd probably sleep together (and if she got pregnant the stakes would be much higher). But it's been FOREVER since they last kissed! Now they "broke up" and YS keeps being emo and annoying being the noble idiot... they're pushing the limit on this! Now it's becoming tiring, the whole "Stay away from me, I bring danger. Forget me, I'm destined to die. Oh, take care of that scar on your beautiful skin!" -__-

This made me LOL. Tbh, I don't have a problem with their interaction - he was trying really hard to hold to hope and a future but Undaddy and Prosecutor have made this pretty much impossible and he doesn't want her to grieve for him. I love that sort of stuff though.

Yup, in part Blue House = easy access to Target 5 but also yup, get them closer only to stab them in the heart (also explained why he kept Pres for last - it's the most 'delicious' revenge of them all).
