For some reason, I am more excited by upcoming cdramas than twdramas, kdramas, and jdramas combined. So, behind the cut is a list. The only order is alphabetical.
I am sure you have figured out that out of all dramas, period cdramas are my favorite, so it's not surprising that this list contains so many. But a few modern dramas did sneak in.

LOL and THAT'S his life as an archaeologist? Or is the archaeologist thing only a sideplot/random piece of interesting information? It sounds a bit Indiana Jones-ish from the synopsis. Because dang, I'd give a lot for archaeology to be actually that interesting IRL, LOL. Actually, maybe not quite that interesting; I'm pretty sure I'd be opposed to getting tortured. I'm usually pretty meh about pre-modern period dramas, but this one actually looks good.
Re: Skip Beat, I actually really liked the manga! At least for the first 13 volumes or so, precisely beause it was cheerful and wacky, with all the plot cliches that I love. After 13-15 volumes though, Nakamura seems to have more or less forgotten the original plot and decided to write about "Kyoko's random adventures as an actress", so I'm feeling your episodic complaint. I'm dreading Shiwon/Donghae being dubbed already! And yep, it's a Twdrama; I just tend to think about Twdramas and Mainland dramas as "chinese dramas", that's all. :P Not very politically correct, I know.
LOLOL slightly embarassing uncle your parents don't mention too often. They should ban Nicky from ever shaving his hair off - in fact, he should leave it wuxia-long forever. He was ridiculously hot in Treasure Venture. Too bad the guy who dubbed him gave him a raspy mosquito voice.
