Dangermousie's Dozen Most Anticipated Cdramas
For some reason, I am more excited by upcoming cdramas than twdramas, kdramas, and jdramas combined. So, behind the cut is a list. The only order is alphabetical.
I am sure you have figured out that out of all dramas, period cdramas are my favorite, so it's not surprising that this list contains so many. But a few modern dramas did sneak in.
Bu Bu Jiang Xin - I have sort of mixed feelings on this one due to casting, but it looks too gorgeous not to check out. Another time-travel drama with Liu Shi Shi as a 20th-century woman ending up at Kang Xi's court. Have a MV.
Destiny's Concerto - FengMi ride again! Yang Mi and FSF play lovers in a modern-day drama. Everything else seems to be in flux but as a rabid and unhealthy FengMi fan (I don't RPShip them but want them to star opposite each other forever and ever. They are replacing Yuan Hong/LSS in my heart, which is just as well as Yuan Hong left TangRen). No pics are out yet, so have the magazine cover I stole from hanjae in all its cheesy deliciousness.
Emperor's Beauties - Xiang Yu (Ming Dao), Lu Zhi (Joe Chen), Liu Bei (Luo Jin) and the destruction of Qin and start of Han. Looking forward to it even if it will focus more on the women as I always find Yu Zheng productions entertaining. Bonus points for the first time in my existence finding Ming Dao hot:
Now go burn down stuff and off people in battle, guys! Maybe make out with Lu Zhi and Consort Yu. Though probably not at the same time, sadly.
Legend of Tiger Amulet - Yang Mi and Feng Shao Feng costar. Do we really need anything else? If you are me, then probably not, but just in case you are less irrational than I am, warring states, concubine of king taking powerful amulet to help lover fight off invasion blah blah blah. It sounds very interesting, but I must confess that they could read a phone book, I'd still watch because FengMi! Have a trailer:
Mi Wu Shuang Long - Yuan Hong as archeologist in a period drama. 'Nuff said.
OK, you want more? As per wiki, In 1937, a Japanese organization was on a secret mission to obtain "Jing Tai Shuang Long," a pair of valuable vases made during the Qing dynasty. When its mission became known to the Chinese government, the descendant of Shuang Long's maker began to die one by one under mysterious circumstances. Xing Wen Yuan, the surviving member of the family, must protect the artifact, track down the Japanese agents and find the mysterious killer before all is lost.
Mo Deng Xin Ren Lei/Modern People - Hu Ge (out of period clothes for once) and Ivy Chen play two smart young people involved in the fashion world. I adore them both plus the trailer is so cute.

Rainbow Sweetheart - My Girl remake. I adore the original and they dragged out my ultimate weakness, Jimmy Lin.
Shangri-La - all I needed to be told was that it was by the people who made The Myth. But it also has Hu Ge as a horse-thief, fakecest, and some gorgeous visuals.

The Other Shore/Hui Jia/Coming Home - (from wiki) Vic Zhou plays a Taiwanese medic in World War II. During the war, the Japanese deployed him to China to work as a Japanese military doctor. He endured much internal turmoil as his allegiance was split between his Japanese ruler and his Chinese ancestry. When the war finally ended, he still couldn't go home because his role in the enemy camp. There are battles, angsty love stories and other gorgeousness.
Plus Vic Zhou.
The Royal Harem - see this. Mmmm, Ady/FSF.
Unbeatable - Hu Ge (are you noticing a theme with my picks?) is an executive who loses everything, meets a 'cheerful internet writer' and with her embarks on a plan to take it all back

Xuanyuanjian Tianzhi Hen - the rumored fantasy/period drama taken from yet another game, with Hu Ge and Liu Shi Shi rumored as stars. I love fantasy, Hu Ge in period stuff and TangRen dramas. Plus, Hu Ge and LSS had crazy chemistry in Chinese Paladin 3 and there they were playing siblings! I can't wait to see what kind of chemistry we'll get when they are actually an OTP. One request - please make Hu Ge's character less childish than in CP3 and we are golden.
