I hope she gets to live just long enough to see Four become emperor instead of her precious Fourteen and learn that all her evilness and scheming was for naught. Bwaahahahahha! Honestly, she and Xiao Chun are the only characters in this I truly hate. I am not fond of awful awful Kang Xi but at least he amuses me and the same is true for Concubine Xi. And Su Yan goes psycho but I sort of feel sorry for her. But these two are just a waste of space. Even someone as ambitious and ruthless as Concubine Xi has the decency not to hide her nature.
I won't put anything past Concubine De. For all I know, she actually manipulated Four's upbringing so he'd grow up to be ruthless and screwed-up so she could further her plan. She's capable of it.
Anyway, I have to get up in four hours and be incommunicado for most of the day tomorrow, so good night.
