I always liked that opening, never picked up the anime though. The manga was one of the first titles published in Poland, even before I got interested in m&a. I might buy it some day, it's possible to obtain it pretty cheaply now. Would would you recommend starting with? The manga or the anime? :)

I think anime. It got rid of some of the later arcs I didn't like and I think some of the humor works better in motion.

OMG, I am a stauch Fushigi Yuugi apologist! I've read the manga, but I actually prefer the anime, probably because I saw it first and the humor works better in animation.

Are you liking Holy Pearl? Because as an Inu Yasha fan I thought I'd check it out, but it looks kind of weird...

yes, I prefer the anime too.

Holy Pearl - it's cheesy as all get-out but I am finding it very entertaining.

I adored Fushigi Yuugi when it came out. I was such a Tasuki fangirl, it's not even funny.

I loved tasuki to bits, but I was always a Tamahome fangirl. Hotohori came second :)

I love the FY opening, still to this day. It was one of those few anime OP that I didn't mind watching repeatedly.

Yup, at one point I used to know all the words despite knowing no Japanese.
