Our local Borders is one of the ones going out of business so I went there to pick over the remains. It was pretty well raided out but I did find five volumes of the Fushigi Yuugi (15-yr-old schoolgirl is transported to magic version of ancient China, must go on quest) omnibus volumes which means 15 regular volumes, at prices that were a steal.
Ah, FY. If you were around my LJ in 2005, you probably remember my obsession (probably it's what primed me for period cdramas, eventually. I even have my ideal version fantasy cdrama cast even if they all skew a bit older than teens :P). I also still love that story to bits in every respect - it has adventure, wall-to-wall angst, shipping to die for, and is very self-referential and tongue-in-cheek when needed.
Anyway, purchasing that made me rather nostalgic. I sort of want to rewatch the anime now but am a bit scared (one of the only two times I had hysterics watching a show involves FY and there were other scenes in it that left me a total wreck). So for now, I am going to satisfy myself by continuing with The Holy Pearl, a.k.a. the cdrama live-action take on Inuyasha, another one of 'modern girl goes through time to fantasy land.'
Have a MV for the secondary OTP from it. No idea who they are but they look cool.

Oh, and as a bonus, FY's opening credits. Oh, how I used to be obsessed with it.
