The Myth - favorite scenes

Aug 11, 2010 00:06

I've been rewatching The Myth and, yes, it is still my favorite drama ever and one of my favorite works of fiction, period. I have never seen anything like it before or since. Have a general, nonspoilery MV.

It also has some amazing scenes and I, always list-conscious, wanted to make a list of my Top 15 scenes.

List of scenes here, spoilery for the whole drama. In no order )

Unrelated: have you heard anything about My Name is Khan? It apparently came out this week and I am still leery of unrecced BW, as only one that I've watched without it being recced/my knowing it was liked by various listies didn't make me bounce off it hard.

I've heard mixed things about it. Haven't watched it myself yet though had it around for ages.

Just finished it. I thought it was very good (though it fell into some racial stereotyping while trying to address racism) but it exceeded my angst and depression threshold a little over halfway through.

This is the series that made me go back to c-drama watching. My kdramas are currently now on-hold status.

Another topic: I remembered you mentioning about Men & Legends (with Peter Ho & Dylan Kuo). Any hints where I can download it? I have been trying to find it (no English subs is OK). VeryCd has it but it's not complete & I am not even sure whether there are sufficient seeders also. I am currently watching Peter Ho's Butterfly Lovers. I quite like it & am already halfway through.

Can anyone recommend some Chinese torrent sites? I am currently using VeryCD as my main c-drama source as it's easier to navigate & there are pictures that are very helpful. As I dont have the chinese software for writing so I just use the hard way of finding a series or movie by copy & pasting the chinese words equivalent from Dramawiki. I can read passably in chinese but is far from fluent. Thanks.

Xiao Chuan and Lao Gao discover GL is indeed the infamous person from history who has destroyed the Qing.

YES. I remember being almost joyful at that plot twist because it was just so damn well done.

I see your #3 and raise you "The only place I want to go is where she went."

Argh, don't do it to me! That scene is still the most I've ever cried for any drama.

Each ep is only 40 minutes or so.

darkeyedwolf found a kind person who will do the timing so we gave her raws and subs. So there is progress :)

Just a koala come bearing gifts.

Your Hu Ge's new period drama is filming, and he plays a horse thief in the steppes.

It's called Shanghri-la. See him all rough and rider.
