Giant
Am through ep 14 and it is still very awesome. I find business machinations pretty dull but the torture, romance, family and revenge stuff is pretty great.
1. I loathe loathe elder brother and want him to slowly die by being tortured to death. Oh, goody, he wants revenge on the dude who killed his father so he becomes the killer's flunkie and does horrible, unconscionable things to get in with him - torturing innocents (including women and old people) is not OK. I won't even get into what the human waste of space did to Gangmo. How hard is it for you to shoot the bad guy? You have a gun, it will be vengeance right on the spot. This weird, slow, and useless course of action you are on makes no sense and harms innocents. I hope you fucking DIE, pig!
2. I am finding myself feeling reluctantly sorry for Secondary Guy. I don't like him - he's arrogant, selfish, and cold - but growing up in that family sure didn't help him any and does genuinely like and try to help the heroine.
3. Speaking of heroine, I finally like her. In part because how totally awesome she was when Gangmo almost died thanks to Pig (she is efficient and good in a crisis and totally did everything for him)
Side note - they were digging bullets out of him but all I could fixate on was The Arms. I am so very shallow.
But I love her even more due to her confrontation with Bad Guy. She is TOUGH.
I even loved her during the scene where she told Gangmo she is getting married - that scene was so full of all those undercurrents. She so wanted (and dreaded, a bit, because then what would she do about the marriage which will save her father) for him to tell her she shall not marry because he loves her. But he could not. I loved, his earlier confession to her while she was asleep and promise he will be able to stand in front of her one day and tell it to her face.
