Heee! Having read the most of the novel, I think you will change you mind later. :D

LOL, you are probably right - this drama is making me bipolar because I was back to liking Ou Chen by the end of the ep (the slapping with Huini stuff and the catching of fainting Xiamo stuff). I still ship Xiamo/Luo Xi though. Oh well...

I thought the episode was not a good one for Ou Chen, all his good moments will come much much later, but like you, I liked the catching of Xiamo.

Luo Xi's is the saddest part: I have almost become a shipper myself (well apart from the fact that their first kiss was forced), but I know how he will literally destroy everything with his own hands later on and I can't (and so far, the adaptation is very faithful, so everything will happen soon)!!! It is very heart-breaking to watch, I just want to shout to LX: look! She loves YOU, do not let her go!!!!!!!

I think present-day Ou Chen really needs to find out that she didn't dump him to date Luo Xi, that their break-up back then was his fault for being so posessive and that he is, arguably, partially responsible for her parents dying (well, not really, but you know what I mean - he's connected to it). That might make him soften up a bit. Does he ever find out, do you know?

I feel horrible for Luo Xi. He really is the most damaged of the 3 (which makes sense because at least Xiamo and her brother were adopted when they were pretty young). I think that is, oddly, the main reaspon I ship him with Xiamo - he is the one who needs someone most desperately of the main characters - but his massive insecurities make it hard for him to hold on to Xiamo (it may have been easier, even with his issues and Ou Chen's meddling if Xiamo herself was better-adjusted, but she is not).

Not so far, on the contrary she keeps insisting that she never ever loved him (What for?? ).

You see, recently I have been reading articles in one of LJs about the affects of childhood trauma on people and LX is a classical case. The main problem is, that , as the psychologist in question keeps saying, a lover can't help LX. Really bad things were done to him by his mother but XiaMo can't undo them, he needs therapy or else. What happens in the novel (the nagging, the push away/pull back, the lack of trust, the self-centredness), everything is exactly the way the psychologist describes likely to happen in relationships of people with childhood trauma.

I think she insists that she never loved him because she's still mad at him/hurt by him and doesn't even want to admit a past weakness. An odd matter of pride.

Re: LX. Too true. I hope if he won't end up with Xiamo (which he won't), he will at least get a therapist. I just want some possibility of a healthy, happy life for him and I agree, without therapy, not too possible seeing he is basically a child neglect/abuse victim.

All these dramas are making me paranoid about being extra-nice to Baby Mousie :)

I think he needs someone who is a bit different from him. A really patient, mother-like girl might be able to nurse him into the happy?

Hee! me too! I am thinking all the time "Oh noes" I must not do this" I must not do that!"
