O-T-P!!!

I literally started crying when Hyeri heard In Woo's message near the end of ep 13 of Prosecutor Princess. And the last scene was pure perfection.

But now, on to ep 13 of Personal Taste and one of the most adorable, functional OTPs ever - Jin Ho and Gae In.

This episode gave us hurt/comfort. Awww.

This was my favorite scene in the episode - the sheer domesticity of it all - the way Jin Ho is drying her hair so matter-of-factly doing this little intimate thing so she would feel better (I seem to be a sucker for men showing care and love through caring for the OTP's hair - one of my all-time favorite drama scenes is Dr Min washing his OTP's hair in Thank You when she is sick, and she never even knows). And then how it transforms from playful and easily comfortable to scorchingly sexy - you can see the look on Jin Ho's face change as you read his love and desire looking at her as if she's the sexiest, most amazing thing he's ever seen. And then he kisses her neck OH MY GOD IS THIS A KOREAN DRAMA OR A STRANGE LAND OF THIS THING KNOWN AS PHYSICAL AFFECTION? But I also love that it doesn't go further, because Gae In is so new to all of this and he doesn't want to spook her. I love them so much.

And then there was figure-skating adorableness (he was tying her skates!) Once again, I love the easy intimacy between them with all attendant touching. It's more real than the usual stand-offishness of kdramas.

This is here because I found it amusing.

I couldn't really cap the scene of Gae In's imagination so have the aftermath. The scene where she imagined Jin Ho taking her on the bed was really really sexy - the girl has some imagination. I love that she may be nervous and uncertain (because not only is she a virgin, but the whole issue of sex as symbol of trust and love is fraught for her because she's had a man leave her before because she wouldn't put out) but she is a sexual being with sexual desires. I love that the drama allows her that.

And I love that Jin Ho, who is obviously just as interested in that sort of thing - he's a man in love living with his girl and clearly he is not dead so he posesses a libido, doesn't go and push or even make the first move because he remembers her wistful questions about whether all men just want that or if someone could love and refrain for the girl's sake. Because that is why he is so good for her - he puts her first automatically. He wants to be what she needs. And she really needs someone like that because otherwise her capacity for love is her weakness - she would do anything for the person she loves and I could see plenty of nightmare scenarios where someone could take advantage of that giving nature (actually, her ex-friend In Hee and her ex-bf Chang Ryul both did, with a vengeance).

And then things become a little more fraught when there is a thunderstorm and she insists on sleeping with him. Platonically. Poor poor Jin Ho :) His comment to the effect of "I really am a guy too, you know" to sleeping Gae In is adorableness. And she clearly trusts him 100% in order to be able to fall asleep in his arms.

This mix of playfulness and sexual tension = me as a happy camper.

Yup, adorable.

Ep 14 promises us this:

In other news, I want to push In Hee, Hyemi, and Jin Ho's mother (ugh, awful - how come he's such a well-adjusted adult with such a lunatic for a mother?) off a cliff together.
