I am addicted to A Star In My Heart.
Blame the hotness of Rocker Boy and the awesomeness of the OTP.
I must say much as I enjoyed a whole bunch of stuff in eps 10-12 of A Star In My Heart - Reserved Executive meeting his Ex again (and an epic make-out. Mr. Cha In Pyo, how did your wife like it? :P). Ex is kinda a psycho though.
Rocker Boy's heartbreaking meeting with his Mother in the Loony Bin (when she does not recognize him) and subsequent breakdown.
Underwear showers crucial to plot:
the most adorable proposal on the planet at the end of ep 12:
(I love the little nervous pause)
and Rocker Boy's general gorgeousness
eps 10 and 11 were largaly consumed by MY BURNING BURNING BURNING BURNING HATE FOR ROCKER BOY'S FATHER.
I WANT HIM TO DIE PAINFULLY AND IN A LENGTHY GRAPHIC FASHION ON MY SCREEN.
For his own good? Really? REALLY? Hello, Mr. Lunatic! Now, go die! Really, you sic thugs on him so he's confined in his house. And that is after you had his studio trashed and him badly beaten up?
And that's before he had his thugs kidnap and threaten Heroine - who may be scared because she's not insane but has no intention of backing down and not seeing him. She is so awesome.
and before Rocker Boy discovered Daddy Dearest ordered his phone cut off so he is literally isolated 100%. He can't even call the cops.
Did I mention that Rocker Boy has got to be at least in his mid-20s, self-supporting, employed, and not dependent on Lunatic Daddy for anything whatsoever?
WHAT THE HELL IS YOUR BRAIN DAMAGE, PATERNAL FREAK?
Luckily he manages to escape using his smarts.
I am also beginning to suspect that it's Daddy Lucifer who had Rocker Boy's Mom confined in a looney bin, groundlessly. GOD I WANT HIM TO DIE PLEASE.
I can't believe he somehow managed to have a sweet-natured, well-adjusted kid. I love the bit where Rocker Boy tells Reserved Executive he doesn't want to tell Heroine his troubles because she'll be more hurt by them than he is. AWWW.
But of course he can't stand it and tells her and she is so sane and comforting. (It's a mutual thing for them - protecting the other person from their personal troubles - she doesn't intend to tell him about his family threats to her, either). They are so very normal and functional couple I have ever seen in a kdrama.
And I love that he is so forthright with Evil Stepsis - he always told her he did not like her and he keeps doing it.
And I love that Heroine trusts him enough that when she sees Evil Stepsis sobbing in his arms (he just told her for the umpteenth time he does not like her and she threw herself at him) she isn't jealous or suspicious, she just smiles at him in greeting. They are so right together.
Next ep promises me this:
Not related, but I am about to start Soulmate. Only 12 eps!
