A Star In My Heart eps 3 and 4 - Rocker Boy, take me, I am yours! :)
I am seriously obsessed with A Star in My Heart. It just hits all my kinks perfectly. It's light but not too light, it has angst but not ridiculously so, it has a spunky heroine, and ridiculously sexy hero, and the two are so functional together.
Oh, and that little reptilian part of my brain which considers Sensual Phrase my favorite manga is revelling in the whole rocker-star-falls-for-girl set-up. Oh great, now that I typed it out, I am fantasizing about Ahn Jae Wook as Sakuya. Heee. Mind. Out of the gutter, self. (SP is pretty X-rated). Heeee.
Rocker Boy is in the Army and Daddy wants him transferred and he refuses. You go, Rocker Boy.
Especially since the wannabe preferential treatment (even if he refuses) results in hazing. Am sick sick sick girl.

Heroine's friend becomes a singer. Still rocking a hideous perm.
Heroine is still awesome and functional.
Reserved Executive forwards the plot by angsting in the bath.
And then the two years are up and Rocker Boy is out. His Daddy's treat? "Let me take you to a brothel, son!" WHAT THE F? Daddy is married, btw, even if (I think) not to Rocker Boy's mother. Daddy is very puzzled why his son looks horrendously ill during this whole 'entertaining' time.
After rejection by a producer, Rocker Boy decides to produce his own album and borrows money from Reserved Executive.
I started wondering a bit here about the nature of their friendship - they seem to be AWFULLY glad to see each other - it's the happiest we've seen both Rocker Boy and Reserved Executive in basically ever. HHHHHMMMMM.
And there is meaningful staring.
I wonder what went on with his mother.

OK, I find smoking a disgusting disgusting habit but when Rocker Boy does it? I find it a little hard to breathe. I am such a goner.
They meet again and it's so adorable how happy they are and how normal together.
He offers her a ride, pretending he was going that way anyway. Heee, yeah right, I saw you gun your car to get there 'coincidentally.'
In the car, he has his song playing and she doesn't know it's his but says she really likes it and he totally lights up. Awww. (Side note - I really like his singing voice, with that hint of raspiness. Very sexy).

Not so fast! She lets Rocker Boy have what-for for meddling. Gosh, I love this heroine. And I love how functional Rocker Boy is. He apologizes. YES. God, I love them.
