Love Shuffle: ep 7 liveblogging and caps

OK, I got so insane, I liveblogged ep 7 of Love Shuffle. This is my most favorite jdrama except for Pride, because nothing will ever knock Pride off the list. But this is thiiiiiis close.

Kairi is jealous - I love that human reaction.

God, I hate Kairi's father. Way to go, exploit your mentally ill daughter!

I am sure she is not suicidal and hallucinating because of his treatment of her (it's too serious a behavior to be solely brought on by that) but I am sure his behavior does not help and makes it worse.

He is totally using her for her talent - he does not care that she is seriously ill. He does not want her to do anything but draw - he does not want her to have any life outside of work - he hit her earlier when she wouldn't draw and told her she was broken. He gets livid she went bowling with Kei because it can ruin her fingers and tells her all she should do is draw. And when she tells him her head hurts when she draws, his response? It's because of medication her quack of a doctor (his words) has given her - WTF! She definitely needs all the help meds can give but the thing is - she is not even taking any meds but he just shakes it off when she tells him that.

I don't think he sees her as a daughter at all, just as moneybags. You know - I wonder if her constant suicidalness is not brought on, at least a little, by pressure and as a perverse desire to have something of her own to control.

Of course, yet another reason why she and Ojiro are the best fit - I cannot see Ojiro paying two seconds' worth of attention to her father.

Oh - all of a sudden I fell for Mei/Yukichi like a ton of bricks. I love Mei when she is interacting with everyone but Kei.

The Tara-chans listening scene is hilarious but reminds me of how out-there Yukichi is.

The whole threeway call with Masato/Ojiro/Kei discussing Kairi (with Masato making up a bunch of things, and Ojiro denying his feelings, and Kairi listening in as per Masato's instructions) is very creepy.

And Mei decides to get back together with Kei - that girl is a human yo-yo and I am getting tired of it. I wonder why - she clearly doesn't love him any more but is trying to convince herself she does - I wonder if it's because she is scared she likes someone else. Poor Airu!

I loved the scene of Ojiro at the pet store. LOVED.

I loved the scene with Yukichi and Reiko - whoa, shock of my life that Reiko is the one who is in control and not her husband. Not a shock that despite his mild manner Yukichi is no dummy.

I love it when Mei tells Kei the engagement is back on - you can tell he is not in love with her any more but can't admit to himself. They are only clinging together out of habit.

The scene with Kei and Airu drinking? God - their chemistry!

The scene with Ojiro jokingly offering to warm up Masato - aaaaaah, irony! Of course, Ojiro does not know, but we do.

OMG, it's Yukichi that Mei likes. And his face overhearing and realizing finally someone is in love with him, and 'gets' him, and in love with him for himself. Oh, of course, he will fall back in love with her just because of that. I don't know if I trust Mei with a heart of anyone not emotionally built like a truck though. She is an utter flake.

Kei is so awesome telling Kairi about happiness, standing up in front of crazy daddy (how sad that Kairi is only staying with her father because she has nowhere else to go).

I LITERALLY SHRIEKED WHEN OJIRO WALKED IN. Ahh, jdrama, how you spoil me! He totally decided to drop his barriers for her.

AWWWW, Kairi's Dad! ((())) You are not evil. Stiill misguided though. I understand the reaction but I really think he was stifling her and contributing to the problem.

Oh Kei!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is why you are my favorite character. KEI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The scene with Ojiro and Kairi reduced me into an incoherent puddle of goo. GOO. I tell you.

This scene with Yukichi "practicing horizontal bars" made me cry. Somehow, I care most about him finding his happiness - he comes across as the most fragile out of the bunch (a tough competition).

Oh Good Lord, Masato is creeping me the FUCK out. Is he encouraging Kairi to die? WTF!

Kei and Airu in the end - heartbreak city! "I hate you most in the world" is about the best confession of love ever.

Just to demonstrate how insane I am - I watch the ep on zoomplayer (because I love the crispness) and then load it into GOMPlayer just to cap.
