T__T I wish I could give those four hours back to you but AT THE SAME TIME, you just totally made my day. Just. Like, even beyond the picspam with two uber-gorgeous people, you had DONGCHUL and YOUNGRAN and askdj.
I got into EoE because... well, it's kind of lame, but there's this music video called Timeless (Part 1 and Part 2) that YeonHee was in and I just really loved her in it and when I saw a drama was out with a cast of gorgeous people and YeonHee was the main character, I was like, !!!
I got into DongChul / YoungRan the first time I saw them interact. When YoungRan so casually insulted him and liked needling him but at the same time, she was amused and attracted to him.
Okay, fail, I accidentally pressed "Post Comment" >.>
Anyway. Yeah. And lets face it. WHO COULD POSSIBLY BLAME HER for wanting to get into THOSE pants. Just. Immediately they were my favorite ship in this, even though I only watched like what, 7 episodes? It didn't matter. She was such a strong character, one who knew what she wanted and would get it all the time being snarky and gorgeous and totally into him. And DongChul was like, amused and exasperated.
One of my favorite scenes was when YoungRan is like, dancing with her father in this orange outfit and he's like, "you look so happy today" and she's all secretive and smiley and so in love that I was like, askfjkl.
And I adore how she's always making the first move! Girl KNOWS what she wants and she will get it. It being DongChul. DongChul being one of the sexiest characters in KDrama history, y/y? =D

First off, this comment made my day. I know it sounds pathetic, but it's totally true - it was totally worth making my post so I could have an opportunity to fangirl over DC/YR.

Heee. So true. I really loved that for once, the drama acknowledged that the leading man is freaking gorgeous. In real life, if someone looked like that, he'd have women throwing themselves at him 24/7 so it totally made sense (side note: I have never seen SSH in anything before but I saw him here and my jaw literally dropped. I mean: GUH).
She was such a strong character, one who knew what she wanted and would get it all the time being snarky and gorgeous and totally into him.And I loved that so much! She was so confident and forward and knew what she wanted.I loved that unlike a lot of kdrama heroines who do not realize they like a man, or have silly misunderstandings, or play coy, or supress their feelings out of

(This got so long I maxed out the comment limit :P)
I personally believe he started liking her ever since the ladle "Gukja" conversation.
The writers do too! He tells her that right before the kissing and their night together. *sigh*
seriously adored the part where they're camping in the beach. He's just, SO HAPPY THERE, you know? Like, I've never seen him look that calm and at peace and he just loves her so damn much that it's like, sakldfjk.
I love that scene so much! Because he is always so reserved and duty bound and this or that and thinking of other things, but here he can just be himself and feel unburdened. She is so full of life and fun and if it wasn't for all the issues, he'd be too - whenever he allows himself to let go, he is pretty extraverted. With her, he can have fun and relax. The grins, the grins on the beach and shopping! She even gets him to sing! EEEE!
Lee Da Hye's charater - what's her name. HyeRin - was kind of very... flat. In comparison to YoungRan's. Like, I ADORE Lee Da Hye - My Girl = ♥forever -

it was never portrayed as silly or stalkery or bad.
I know! I adored that about the show and to this day I'm not sure how they managed to do it. I think YoungRan's character just has such presence that her pursuance of DC comes across as confident and determined. And I think one of the things that helped this along was that YR knew that he liked her too. Like DC was always clear to vocalize the fact that they couldn't be together but then he does these really sweet things like tell her how innocent and uncorrupted her eyes are. And just, as the audience, we could easily see how well they got along and how much like a normal guy he acted around her, how much he appreciated her directness.
One reason why they appealed to me so much - both of the parties involved knew that the other felt something for them but outside forces kept them apart. Where in other cases I might have thought it was unrealistic that DC and YR held onto their feeling for so many years (seriously, these time skips skip a lot) but not here. Because how can YR let

Please tell me which episode the scene is where he tells her that he liked her ever since the Gukja convo. I have to have to watch it. ♥
It was ep 55, the one with snowfight.making out/wedding. So GOOD. The shippiest ep of the bunch!

Yeah, usually they have the females come across as over-the-top or clingy if they do this but you are right, Young Ran was so confident and so "sunny" it never came across as that - she loved him desperately, but she wasn't desperate, if it makes any sense.
DC was always clear to vocalize the fact that they couldn't be together but then he does these really sweet things like tell her how innocent and uncorrupted her eyes are.Exactly. He'd always be pushing her away but in a fashion that clearly indicated he liked her - like the eyes conversation or how he always lets himself hug her back, or even that kiss on the boat (OMGYUM) where she kisses him first but it takes him a bit to muster the will to push her away. And

Oh, me too. It was so fun to watch them - her so blatantly attracted and needling him, like a kitten, to get a reaction. And his amusement - he is not amused/happy very often but he was so ridiculously amused with her.
