JESUS. I feel like i've been through the whole thing now. AND THE ENDING! Man, if it were me i would absolutely HATE it 'cos that osrt of thing pisses me off like MAD. Although, is it something that's done in the very dying minutes 'cos i've seen another drama that did something like that and i was living in la-la land all happy 'cos the OTP were gonna spend a happy Xmas together and she was waiting for him to come and then it ALL WENT WRONG.

Yeah, i never got over it.

Ooooh, what drama was it?

Entirety of ep 56 was the kidnap thing. But I can always stop after wedding. I don't mind sad endings though :) It probably helps that I spent the entire drama in a ridiculous hormonal haze over SSH - seriously, it was ridiculous.

It's Cheap Love with Takashi Sorimachi. It's one of the 90s dramas and it's got a storyline i think you'd probably enjoy - Junichi is a scout recruiting girls for work in night clubs; but in contrast to what he does, he is actually a sentimental person at heart. Nanami, who is a music teacher at a junior high school, wishes that something would happen to change the course of her ordinary life. Being from a high-class family and having committed to an arranged marriage with a government official, she and the street smart Junichi are from two different worlds. Their initial meetings always ended in disdain for the other, but when Junichi helps her find some sheets of music precious to her, she begins to think that he could change her life. Although it goes against everything that her upbringing has taught her, Nanami decides to give him a chance.Actually, thinking about it it does seem like something the Koreans would make a drama for. It's pretty seedy (for a Japanese drama) and it also has Sorimachi sexing up the female lead on a ( ... )

Thank you for the recap of the shippy parts, because now I don't have to watch all 50something episodes of this and can just look at the pretty pictures full of h/c and shippiness :).

Trust me, if I were doing a proper h/c centric recap, I'd have to spend the entire weekend on it - Dong Chul and Dong Wook (and Myung Hun once he went to the side of good) spent the vast majority of their time being severely mistreated. :P

I don't think I could have taken all those hours of aaaannnnngst and then get that particular ending. No matter how cute the OTP. I feel exhausted just by watching the caps! I'm ever so glad I did not pick EoE up after all.

In retrospect the ending doesn't bother me re: Dong Chul. Honestly, while he had a pretty awful life and deserved a happy ending more than a lot of drama heroes, the man was part of organized crime for years and years...When I first found out the ending I was much less OK but I got used to it ( ... )
