Powerful Opponents ep 5

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, ep 5!!!!!

First off, how much do I hate YJ and GP's boss. UGH. Nasty troll of a man (compare to their Big Boss, who is super-awesome. I wonder why YJ's Dad tried not to look at Big Boss. Hmmm...).

President's Son? I fluctuate between finding him adorable in a puppy way and being madly irritated by him. GROW THE HELL UP, BRAT!!!! I don't care what kind of trauma you have had (he clearly forgot or repressed the past, and has huge memory blanks). Compared to Gwan Pil's maturity, he comes off as if he is ten.

And this brings me to: GWAN PIL!!! Seriously, I have rarely loved a drama character the way I do him. How could you not love him. Seriously. I love when he told YJ (when she was freaking out about everyone finding out her family is screwy) that she is fine just the way she is. *SQUEEEEEE* And he actually grins looking at her. The 'Mr. Super-Reserved' grins :)

And he is a single father! To the most adorable moppet of a daughter ever. And he is super-adorable with her. Though if I were a betting woman, I'd bet anything she is actually the President's Son's daughter. There was a reason they contrasted her coming to see YJ (heeee, to protect her Dead Mom's interests. GP talks about YJ at home a lot, it seems :P) with President's Son being so awesome and cool with his little niece.

Especially, since from that scene between President's Son and Gwan Pil (before annyoing Noona interrupted) it's clear that President's Son belief that Gwan Pil stole violin-playing girl from him is totally mistaken.

Anyway, seriously, the way they are writing relationship arcs, it really seems as if it's written as Bodyguards!otp. Seriously. with President's Son as the flashy guy who pursues YJ only to make her realize she likes GP (I think she already does, a bit, look at her stuttering when she thought he was saying he might like her). Of course, it could be my mad bias speaking. I will be incredibly irritatated if it turns out YJ/President's Son. He acts like a sweet 10 year old, at best. If I didn't find LJW so damn attractive, I'd probably be irritated by him all the time, as opposed to half-irritated, half-charmed.

And then there is Gwan Pil. Who is a grown-up. And sexy. And has the bickering-fighting-protecting-grinning relationship with YJ, like typical protagonists in a screwball :P. And is likely raising another man's kid. And is seems like lost violin girl to President's Son eight years ago. And is all yummily reserved and repressed. Screw it, forget reasoning, I ship Gwan Pil/YJ because I'd jump him in a nanosecond if I was in her place.

I mean, YJ/President's Son? No way! I disapprove. I might have to fly to Korea and have strong words with the writer.

I took a lot of caps but will upload most of them later. For now, just a few.

With his daughter. Who knew he could smile like that:

AWWWW:

Tease! (He just told YJ that he might like her. Pause for her gibbering. Then he blandly adds 'as a colleague').

Looking at YJ. *SQUEE*

Drama, don't make me ship an uncanon couple for the first time in my life, give me GP/YJ! I am actually tempted not to watch any more until the drama is over and I know for sure who she ends up with. If it's with President's Son, I would like to be prepared.

Awwww, who am I kidding, when did I ever have patience?
