Your daily pictures from Japan post...

Goddamn tags. They are being wonky.

Oh well.

Yet more pictures from Japan. If you like hills or small towns or sulfur, this is for you :)

Still on the train to Hakone. I love the little houses tucked into the hills:

A passing town as seen out of the window:

So green:

Town at the botom of the funicular, where you get off the train and transfer. I am blanking on the name. I'll ask Mr. Mousie later:

Best soy ice-cream ever, even if the shot is dark :)

Window display of a restaurant. I really loved that in Japan, all the restaurants would have these plastic pictorial representations of their menu, outside the door:

The view down the street. Doesn't it look a little fairy-tale like, with the mist and the hills?

Funicular tracks:

Little stop:

In the funicular car (I love people pictures):

Ladies restroom at the top. Talk about simplified (There were actually a lot of these in Japan) :)

Cable car to go further:

I have a thing for gears:

Fooling around with camera in the cable car. Mainly because the mist is so thick, you can't see anything outside the window, and we are the only ones in this cable car:

Observation platform at the top. Though what you can observe is unclear:

Sulfur springs:

Steam and smoke turn it into an utterly white world:

To be continued...
