Sadly, I am a sucka.
Maybe somebody here can help me out.
I'm looking for a web-based project management app that has the following:
1. A simple, de-cluttered appearance.
2. Support for multiple sub-tasks for a specific project.
3. Support for multiple users to edit a project and add/edit sub-tasks.
4. Contact management.
And, ideally but not essentially:
5. Multiple access settings (admin/collaborator/client, for example...though really I just care about full access and client-view).
6. Gantt charts.
It seems that this is a crazy thing to want, because I haven't found a single solution that has all of these.
Basecamp has an OK look to it, in that its default appearance is simple enough that you aren't overwhelmed by visual data. But it lacks any kind of contact management (and if I'm paying for Basecamp, I'd prefer to not have to pay for Highrise, too).
Every other project management solution I've found either does only half of these or looks like it was designed by whatever motherfucker decided that Outlook 2000's interface was a good idea. It's not. I'm trying to set up a thing that will have to be used by musicians, at least one of whom will probably be high most of the time. They don't want to look at an overwhelming amount of data presented like a CPA's fever-dream. For that matter, neither do I.
Any suggestions?
