Been a while since my last post.
Skye was truely an experience. It rained badly for the first 2 and a half days but then the sun came out. It was a breathtakingly beautiful place and I have many an amzing picture to prove this. My favourite day by far was definately the drive from Dunvegan to Uig to Staffin. It was the best day by far and we stopped to look amazed at the fairy Glen, a natural formation of miniture proportions! Then just round the corner there were about 3 waterfalls gushing out of the mountains. It was stunning. We then travelled over to Staffin to look for the dino prints but sadly did not find them. Fergus decided to draw his own dino footprint on the beach and had me sit in the middle!
The serpentarium at Broadford was amazing too though and I even held a real snake! By the end though the rain had started again so we were glad to get back to the refuge of a dry and warm bed!
Since Skye alot has gone on. I'm applying for roles outwith my current employment as I would like to get into the Environmental industry. I have also decided that I would like to go for a degree in Enviromental Protection - hopefully starting this year.
We had another bout against CCR. ARRG was victorious yet again! I wasn't playing this time for I missed too much practice with being ill and also going on holiday but I didn't mind as it was the most amazing game I have ever seen. The after party was brilliant too as it gave everyone a chance to relax and chat. I wasn't drinking and had taken my bike in, but spent a few hours between the bout and after party hanging out with Haberbashery and Stephen, her boyf. They were so cool to hang out with and we ended up having such a laugh! I left about 11 and stopped off in Tesco to do some shopping! Not drinking has many levels of fun!
Since the bout I have been working extra hard at practices to get picked for the next team - which I have been. Birmingham Blitz Derby Dames vs ARRG is taking place in Brum on the 20th of June. We're all really excited but also determined with this one. I hope we go home happy. Even if we lose, we never let it keep us down. We're a super strong and very close team and it wouldn't be worth getting upset over.
The weekend just gone we went camping again as this has been the hottest weekend ever!! I got a wee bit burnt and everything! We discovered a wee alcove type beach near Killin but on Loch Tay. Gordon and I were the only one's brave enough to get into the water first, but some people joined us later. It was freezing but so worth it!
Ferg and I should be going camping again this weekend if the weather holds! Cannot wait :)
