Oh What a Weekend
It was a roller coaster weekend, filled with both good and bad things. Although I do think they balanced each other out quite well.
Bad: My dad had to drive down 4 hours to figure out what was wrong with the car and see if he could get it started so he could take it home and look at it.
Good: The car is just fine- the gear switch (which prevents the car from turning on if its not in park or in neutral) is wearing out, but we got it started.
Extra Bad: Dad drove 4 hours for a paultry thing as that.
Extra Good: I get to keep the car until I leave for Christmas break! (And dad is glad its nothing major!)
Bad: Wrote checks this weekend to buy the last of the X-mas stuff I need, knowing full well I was already -$7.76 after Wednesday.
Good: Overdraft privelages so I can pay for Christmas gifts.
Extra Bad: I'll be in perpetual debt until financial aide comes. Stupid medical bills sucking the life out of me.
Extra Good: I got great deals this week on stuff I needed for X-mas, so I'm good to go! All done!
Bad: Thinking I lost my wallet.
Good: Actually finding the goddamn thing between the passenger door and seat (how the fuck did that get there?)
Extra bad: Flipping out and getting worried, calling people to help me find it.
Extra good: I apologied to Ottoman for flipping out.
Bad: Didn't get my hem on tailoring project done.
Good: Waiting so I don't fuck anything up on the coller, while doing a fantabulous job on the zipper all by myself.
Extra Bad: Not spending time working on the crochet project I am supposed to be working on.
Extra Good: Susan gave me permission to turn in a previously made scarf if I don't have the time (mpst of us don't, since we've spent all semester working on the project at hand)
Bad: Getting up at 7 for an 8a gyno appointment.
Good: Getting a clean bill of health.
Extra Bad: Nearly getting hit by a car on the way there (turns out it was the nurses from the health center)
Extra Good: A year's worth of nuva-ring! (I've discovered I like a clearer complexion and lighter, easier periods).
I would rate this weekend an 8. Very nice, very nice indeed.
