SPN Frontierland!!

I have such a cowboy thing, you guys. Probably from spending my formative years hanging around the rodeo with my dad, who was a bullrider back in the day. So Sam in a black hat, Dean in a duster? *dies*

It's kinda sad that in the teaser I could recognize Dean just by his hand on the gun.

Sam and Dean geeking out over Samuel Colt's journal, d'awwwww.

Dean has a cowboy fetish. :D Dean has a fetish for Sam in western wear. :D :D

No no no Sam, Dean is Butch; you're Sundance.
candle_beck says so.

Elkins! Sam being smug about his sarsaparilla. :D

My broadcast last night cut out parts of Sam and Dean investigating the judge's death and most of the scene at the graveyard, including "I love posse!" God, Dean's face in that scene. He's having so much fun having real!Sam back. *smishes them*

Giant from the future with a magic brick. :D

Candygram for Mr. Mongo!

Rachel wins the prize for shortest-lived female character in the show's history.

I need to rewatch and count how many times Sam tips his hat.

Castiel: "I need you to let me touch it." heeheeheeheehee

Ellsworth! Aww, I miss Deadwood.

I was rolling my eyes at Sam forgetting his Blackberry in 1861, but oh, that was for a reason. What movie was the Samuel Colt care package idea stolen from, Back to the Future 3?I know I've seen that concept before somewhere. Still, I would've loved to have seen Colt playing with that phone. Wonder how long the battery lasted.

Okay, so the whole souls-as-currency thing had been bugging me. Why are souls useful? Do they have to be separated from the owners' bodies first? So at least that scene with Castiel and Bobby kinda answered that question: Cas gets a happy from probing souls. So would that make Sam's bedraggled soul more or less juicy? Did Cas want those 50,000 souls from last week's ep so that he could use them as batteries? Cuz it doesn't seem like that'd go well for those people. Do we really think this was the first time Cas has tried to recharge from touching a soul?

Oh, and why exactly couldn't Cas get Balthazar to bring the boys back? I'm thinking he could have, but he just wanted access to Bobby's soul. Because I'm liking morally ambiguous!Cas.

And the phoenix--I liked that guy. Wonder why his ashes hurt the Mother? Did she make him? Why wasn't there a Harry Potter joke about Fawkes? So the phoenix was sympathetic, and there's been a trend of monsters this season arguing that they have a right to exist. I almost typed something about how maybe the season wouldn't culminate with the Mother being ganked, but yeah, odds are low there. *shrugs*
