Mom took the Grand Am that I drove before the Camaro. It apparently didn't run well, and if she had called me, I would have known immediately that that damn air intake I installed came loose again (it happened once before). But no, she didn't want to bother me, so she took it to a mechanic who charged her over $100 to remove my K&N air filter setup and put it back to stock. I'm mad about that, both at the mechanic for ripping her off and at herself for doing that. Good thing they didn't notice that I had aftermarket exhaust on there or who knows what they would have charged to put that back to stock.

I got a ticket the other night for having an expired inspection sticker in the truck. I didn't know state cops could easily see inspection history on their computers. He didn't see my sticker and I hadn't done anything wrong, but he just randomly ran my plate and was looking through for anything he could pull me over for and found it. $50. Non-moving, fortunately, so my insurance won't go up. Anyway, I have ordered the rest of the parts that I need to make the thing pass inspection. I would have done this sooner if I had known that 1) cops could do that so easily and 2) the parts are so cheap. Oh well. There are worse ways to learn than a $50 slap on the wrist.

I modded my PS2 yesterday. Actually, I started on Monday but ran out of consumables so I had Ryan pick up some stuff while I was at work yesterday. I tried it a couple of times and it wasn't working - turns out that I had a couple of small shorts. I removed them and it worked. I'm glad that they didn't kill it permanently. I was feeling bummed when I saw it not work, but I am happy with myself now.
