The Shakespeare Almanac
This evening I went to the National Theatre for a "Platform" with Gregory Doran, Chief Associate Director of the RSC. He has just published a book: The Shakespeare Almanac. The talk was fascinating. Greg is an exceptional man, and his passion for Shakespeare shines through in everything he does connected with the Bard. After the talk, Greg signed copies of the book. It is absolutely beautiful, and contains "Curious facts and strange wonders through the seasons of the Bard's life". I bought one, of course, and now have a beautifully autographed copy (and I got a kiss from Greg's partner, Antony Sher, in the National bookshop!).
The Shakespeare Almanac is a "must have" for anyone who loves Shakespeare - it's published by Hutchinson, priced at £20.
