get over it
sungmin/sunny feat. snsd
romance // pg // 582 words

sungmin knows he screwed up along the way, and why does everyone side against him

Sungmin knows he fucked up when Sunny doesn’t reply his texts for two days straight, because he texted Tiffany and Jessica with successful replies, meaning that they were indeed in Korea and not flying off to Japan on a whim and she had forgotten her phone (forgetful, she’ll always be).
“I think she’s actually mad this time, can’t you please ask Hyoyeon for me?” Sungmin begs Hyukjae after dinner one night. They were texting each other already, how hard would it be for Hyukjae to slip the question in. How’s Yoona and them doing, is Sunny still upset about her hair being chopped off?
“You’re the one at fault, why should I help you fix your shit.” Hyukjae replies immediately, that bastard.
Sungmin sighs and decides to sleep in Hyukjae’s bed instead.

He’s not particularly close with Yoona or Seohyun, but Taeyeon and Hyoyeon have both already decided to ignore him.
Seohyun tells him through a text message, that Yoona unnie was busy filming for her new drama, and no they’re not purposely ignoring him, and Sungmin actually has a hard time trying to squint and read through the formality of her language. Sungmin thanks her and asks how she’s doing, did the recording with Donghae go smoothly, and asks about their comeback.
After two more exchanges, Sungmin realizes Seohyun had completely avoided his original question.

Sooyoung has always been a trusty friend in the time of need, unlike Hyukjae. They sit down for a coffee despite all the chaos around them, and the looming silence would be awkward, but it’s Sooyoung, meaning it could never be awkward.
“She’s still mad at you.” Sooyoung reveals between sips of her latte. “They’re gonna hate me for telling you this.”
“D’awww, that’s my Sooyoung.” Sungmin coos, even if he’s ten years too old to be doing that.
“Please stop that.” Sooyoung refuses the urge to throw her coffee at her friend. “You owe me dinner.”

Sungmin manages to pry out more information when Tiffany agrees to drink with him, because two people meant more alcohol in her system. Sunny refused to show up, and Kyuhyun was fluttering off once again.
Their glasses clink mid-air, and Tiffany giggles softly. Sungmin wonders if they would have had something together if the pieces had been different, because they mesh really well despite their differences. His mom has always been fond of Tiffany.
“I don’t know why she’s being so stubborn about all of this, you’re a great guy,” Tiffany reveals after her third glass.
“I know, I don’t get it either.” Sungmin sighs and puts down the glass. He tosses a look at another bottle, wondering if he should let it air out while they finish this bottle.
“She’ll get over it, I mean, you guys have been together for ages now…” Tiffany reaches for the bottle and gets the cork off with her thumb.

Sungmin’s heart lights up when the line finally connects, and he’s suddenly at a loss for words when the other line picks up.
“Stop calling me.” Sunny’s voice echoes and the line goes dead. Two minutes later, he gets a text from Sunny, and he wonders if she wants to break up, or just take time off to cool down.
She’s not mad anymore. You can stop worrying now. Sooyoungie  V ^__^
Another buzz, another message. This time it was from Sooyoung herself.
Two dinners, oh my god, she’s running after me with that pillow you gave her…
