Comfort
Kangin sighed as he continued his game with Shindong, his mind unable to draw away from Yesung’s frown. He puts a lot of pressure on himself, that kid, and even despite his hard work somehow his dancing was always a tier lower then the rest of the members.
And Eunhyuk won’t ever shut up about how Yesung needs to improve his dancing; that made Kangin mad and promoted him taking out his anger on the monkey boy. It was undeniable that Hyukkie was their best dancer, but destroying Yesung’s self esteem about his dancing isn’t how you treat another member, Yesung could easily trash his singing skills because he obviously can’t sing as well.
But Yesung was different, more mature then Eunhyuk or anyone else in Super Junior. He took the criticism head on and worked hard to improve, but dancing just wasn’t his thing. Kangin watched Yesung as he tried to force a smile when Eunhyuk and Shindong tried cheering him up, but Kangin saw through his grief. He was probably burdening himself for his bad dancing skills and how he slows down their recording times and how he sucks at dancing and how he shouldn’t be on stage with the other members.
Kangin walked over and held Yesung’s hand and gave it a comforting squeeze before pulling them together for a quick embrace. That brief connection seemed to ease Yesung’s discomfort as his back relaxed. Their eyes connected for a few seconds as they felt each other’s warmth. Yesung gave a sheepish smile as he nodded, acknowledging Kangin’s pleas for him not to give up and ruin his confidence.
Kangin let go of his hand before as they headed back to their spots to continue their filming. Yesung gave him a warm smile as Kangin tipped his head.
Jealousy
Kangin felt his face flush with jealousy when Yesung grabbed Siwon’s shoulder affectionately during a live performance of Sorry Sorry. Kangin had even faltered and missed out a few steps of their routine before getting back into the rhythm. When they finished Kangin didn’t feel like staying behind and socializing with the other people
“Wow I’m tired.” Yesung sat down beside him as he unscrewed the cap of a bottle of water. He took a swig and shook it at Kangin, motioning if the younger man had wanted some.
Kangin slapped his hand away as he turned his chair around.
“Yahh what’s wrong with you.” Yesung grumbled as he leaned against Kangin, his head on the bigger man’s shoulder.
“Why did you skinship with Siwon.” Kangin was always blunt with his words, straight to the bone with his comments, his tone of voice obviously hinting his jealousy.
“Youngwoon…” Kangin felt Yesung brush the back of his hair, his fingers gently tugging . “You know how we have to do things for the cameras, it’s just being an entertainer. Besides did you know Siwon had really defined muscles?”
“But Yesung…” Kangin felt like throwing a tantrum in the waiting room when his chair was twirled around and a pair of familiar lips met his own. His jealousy went away almost as fast as it came.
Annoyance
“Kim Young Woon.” Yesung blared into the microphone as he stuck his head out, bowing towards Kangin when the latter began singing his part of the song.
“Saranghaeyo Kim Young Woon.” The fans cries went along with the beat of the song.
Kangin continued with his song as he smiled brightly, waving at both Yesung and the fans holding signs and swinging glow sticks.
“Kim Young Woon.” Yesung cooed again as Kangin put down his mike and Sungmin took over the singing.
Yesung only wished he could add the saranghae and announce their love for each other to the public.
But really, did they need to declare their love to the public? Yesung looked at Kangin as they eyes locked together. Yesung let out a small grin as Kangin went over and threw his arm around Yesung’s neck and hugged him for ‘fan service’.
Declaring their love was one thing, but at the end of the day, the two bickered about anything and everything possible. They spent 15 minutes at Kangin’s apartment arguing about who loved the other more. Yesung finally gave up as he let Kangin carry him into the bedroom.
Immaturity
“Youngwoon I’m scared.”
“Yahh get a grip you kid. Stop acting like you are 15. It’s just a needle.”
“It’s not just a needle, it’s big and scary and it’s going to hurt.”
“Ahhh stop complaining.”
“But you said this shot hurt a lot.”
“Stop talking, you talk too much. Be quiet.”
“Youngwoon shit I’m so scared. Can we go, I don’t think I need the shot. It’s okay I promise I won’t get sick.”
“I said stop talking. Stop fidgeting and sit still.”
“Youngwoon what if my arm can’t move and I can’t sing ever again, what if I can’t feel my fingers and I can’t control my hand and what if my arm starts bleeding.”
“There we go. All done. Hold onto the cotton ball and apply pressure.”
“What, you mean I don’t have to get the shot?”
“No, we’re done. You can go outside and wait for five minutes now.”
“But… wasn’t it suppose to hurt?”
“No… you don’t even feel a thing with these shots.”
“YOUNGWOON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
Child’s Play
Yesung aimed careful with his fork at the mushroom as it rolled around the plate. He lunged out, his fork diving straight for the juicy golden brown fungus.
“AHA. Finally got you.” Yesung chirped as the fork finally pierced the stem.
“Yahh stop playing with your food.” Kangin nudged Yesung on the ribs, causing the smaller man to flinch.
“I wasn’t…” Yesung whined as he took a sniff, his nose crinkling at the earthy smell of the mushroom. He took the fork in his hand and pretended that it was a plane flying around.
Kangin grumbled as he took another bite of his pasta, his fork picking at the large chunks of tomato. He heard a small cry when he turned around and saw Yesung’s mouth wrapped around the stalk of the fungus, the round head of the mushroom sticking out of his mouth. His eyes were open wide as he looked absolutely ridiculous. Sometimes the guy just never fails to make someone else laugh.
“Whuongg.” Yesung tilted his head to the side.
Kangin didn’t even bother with Yesung’s muffled protest as he grabbed the back of the older man’s head and bit off the cap of the mushroom and chewed coarsely, exposing his moist lips, as he dove in for a kiss.
