http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ws_QFBleuUk Yuri had a gut feeling when Yesung pulled her aside during the break of their filming for Star King. Yesung pulled on her hand as he half dragged her inside one of the waiting rooms and closed the door behind them.
“Yuri ah…” Yesung began as he threw himself on the maroon couch. He buried his face in his hands as he slowly rocked himself back and forth.
At the moment Yuri confirmed her suspicions. Normally Yesung oppa was happy, quirky, and talkative. He would be the guy that cracks a joke that nobody understands and they would all laugh at the silence. He would laugh at the most trivial things and end up tripping or clinging onto someone near him. Oppa would curve his smile into a small pout as he puts on his blank confused look to make people laugh… but not today. Yesung was different today and Yuri sensed it.
“Oppa is there something wrong?” Yuri swung one of the black leather chairs around and took a spot facing Yesung, who had curled himself into a tight ball on the sofa.
“Nothing… I just wanted someone to be with me right now… if you’re busy you can… go.” Yesung’s voice trembled as he struggled with his words, his voice cracking before he finished his last sentence. He looked up at Yuri, his dark eyes moist with tears, his brow wrinkled with frustration and irritation, his frown alone enough to hint his unhappiness.
“Oppa…” Yuri began as she inhaled a deep breath as she tried finding the right words to comfort Yesung. “I’m here for you. You know I’m always here for you…”
Yesung’s eyes sparkled for a second as he closed his eyes. His head drooped down into his knees as he curled up into a ball again.
“Youngwoon… I just don’t get it… yahhh…” Yesung grabbed his hair in frustration, something he would rarely do at all whether it was on or off camera. Yuri stared blankly at Yesung as he ruffled his hair, strands flying everywhere disheveled and messy.
“Oppa… don’t be like this.” Yuri grabbed Yesung’s smaller hands and gripped them tightly. Her warm soft skin held onto Yesung’s colder hands as she kneaded them together.
“Yuri ah…” Yesung began sobbing, his tears almost pouring out of his eyes, “I don’t know what I’m doing wrong…”
“Oppa you’re not doing anything wrong. It’s his fault and not yours…” Yuri’s bottom lip trembled as Yesung broke down in front of her. Yesung was a strong person and he controlled his emotions really well, Yuri herself barely remembered the last time she had seen him cry.
Instinctively the two began closing their distance as Yesung sobbed silently onto Yuri’s shoulder. Yuri stroked Yesung’s back as the older boy continued sobbing endlessly, his body tense and rigid from bottling his emotions.
“I don’t know why would he film We Got Married. I just don’t get it.” Yesung blurted out as his body went limp, much of his weight being supported by Yuri as Yesung continued to pour out his frustrations.
“I mean what part does he not get… I make it obvious that I like him already and he still runs off to go film a stupid variety show. Is that really more important than me? Is fame that much more important?”
“And he keeps avoiding me lately. Sometimes he’s just so cold and distant and sometimes he’s not. I don’t even know what he wants. Am I not good enough for him so he has to find that Yoonji or someone. Maybe he should pay attention to who else is fucking around him, and just maybe will he notice me…”
“Yesung oppa…” Yuri tightened the hug as she grabbed onto the back of Yesung’s head. Even though Yesung had Kangin on his mind, Yuri was still glad she was the person he turned to for help when he was fragile and brittle. Even though her placement was merely a close dongsaeng and an even closer friend, it made her happy she got to spend time with him.
“It’ll be okay oppa, I promise. I bet you Youngwoon hyung is thinking about you right now.” Yuri said playfully as she punched Yesung on the arm, “Toughen up. We have to go back soon.”
“I guess…” Yesung sat up and straightened his jacket, his hand almost instantly flying up to fix up his messy hair. He wrapped an arm around Yuri’s neck as he playfully pushed the two of them out of the dressing room.
“Yahh let’s go Yuri.” Yesung motioned for a high five. Yuri knew what was coming so she did the same gun pointing stance at the same time as the two of them erupted into a small fit of laughter.

The next morning, Yuri was having breakfast with the other SNSD members as she picked up the morning paper. One of the pages had a picture of Yesung wrapping his arms around Yuri as they left the dressing room. Big words read “Super Junior Yesung going out with SNSD Yuri?” on the title of the article.
“Since when did you have a scandal with Yesung oppa?” Sunny teased as she took a bite of her toast.
Yuri smiled meekly at Sunny before looking back down at the black and white photograph. Her grip on the paper tightened as she bit on the inside of her bottom lip, trying to suppress her tears.
Sometimes Yuri wished she was a bit more selfish, and maybe, just maybe, this scandal will actually come true.
Maybe. She would tell him how she truly feels about him. Just maybe they would be together. Maybe.
That was before when Yesung called her later in the day telling her about how Youngwoon had called him later that night and said that he missed him and the rest of the other members. Yuri noticed that Yesung placed extra emphasis on the ‘him’ part.
Just maybe she would pour out all her feelings for him one day. But after hearing how happy Yesung was on the phone, Yuri decided that, just maybe, it would be better if she kept those feelings to herself.
