A/N: Short chapter. I'm losing my muse with a lot of my writing, and school made me realize that maybe I shouldn't be writing so much. Call it a semi-hiatus, but I don't think I'll write much more [of this, for a while, sorry]. [Last] Comments are <3'd. Thank you readers for reading and giving me confidence to continue writing. Hope to see some of you in the future.

“Kyuhyun-sshi...” Yesung whispered silently, his head still cowered. The door creaked open slightly as silence ensued over the room, the awkwardness creeping through the opened door.

“Anyways, I think I should get going soon.” Kyuhyunn felt the uneasiness dripping off his fingertips as he suddenly felt out of place in the warm, inviting flat after he had revealed the news.

He had done too much for Jongwoon, Kyuhyun knew he was making a mistake. And this warm feeling that Kyuhyun had for the man wasn’t helping either. The timing was just all fucking wrong. He had too many things to worry about, not only his own future in the family, but his friend’s future and their agreement. There were too many things for Kyuhyun to leave behind.

Those were the grotesque consequences of his life. That was his life. He had himself to depend on, living a solitary, dreary life. Eventually, even his closest friends, his friends who had been with him during the hardest years, had given up hope. Years of unreturned messages, unwritten letters of response, Cho Kyuhyun was gone.

He would never put the ones he cared for in danger. He himself already knew he was getting dangerously close with Yesung. If Henry had been a thread less capable, Kyuhyun would have done the same with the Chinese man. He had to redraw the lines, he had to remind them both that he was evil and no good, albeit the clichéd expression. It was time to cut their strings.

“Do you really have to go?” Yesung looked up at him, their gazes meeting yet again. There was that fire burning in his eyes again, the spark of passion raging as the man was suddenly relieved of everything.

“Yes.” Kyuhyun nodded as he plastered on his cold, uncaring side. He prayed for the intimidation to work in his favour.

“Why are you being all cold all of a sudden?” Yesung hammered on the point. “Why do you act all kind and warm to me one second, and cold and abrasive the next?”

“I...” Kyuhyun held onto the last string of his mask before it was entirely snapped off by Yesung.

“Why are you hiding from me?” Yesung suddenly inched towards him, and by reflex Kyuhyun backed up to increase the distance.

“I’m not hiding anything.” Kyuhyun felt his back hit the wall as he jolted at the touch. At the back of his mind, his gut told him that Yesung had fallen for him. The scissors held dangerously close towards their bond. “Look, if you want to carry that debt again, I’ll be more than happy for you to do so. I can just take the money and buy another car or something.”

Yesung bit something in his mouth, his eyes immediately wet. His trembling bottom lip steadied when his tongue poked at the dry innards.

Kyuhyun had to make it clear for both of them. The scissors in his mind closed shut, the crisp intrusion separating them cleanly sliced off.

“I’m done being nice and shit. I took pity on you and helped you repay the debt. You’re nobody to me and I should be nobody to you.” Kyuhyun lied to both of them. “You’re just another client I’m supposed to leech off.”

Kyuhyun watched in horrified agony, the scene dwindling in slow motion as Yesung dropped the ground in his mind.

All of his previous composure was gone as Yesung exploded into a fresh fit of tears, reinforcing Kyuhyun’s speculation of his developing feelings for himself. Yesung falling for him, that was the last thing he had wanted, he needed, to happen in his life.

“Well, I think I should be going now.” Kyuhyun saw a tear escaped from the corner of his eye. “I have more important things to do.”
Yesung shook his head as he leaned closer towards him, beckoning him to hold him. Kyuhyun sucked in all the air he could and held out a hand to stop him, the tips of his finger lightly grazing against the hem of his shirt.

“Yesung-ah.” Kyuhyun pushed the man away and saw Ryeowook staring at them through the opened door.

Kyuhyun left the apartment without another word.

Sungmin plopped down on the comfy armchair in Key’s room.

“What’s on your mind now, dear?” Key cooed as he spun around in his chair. “You do know we’re busy men, right?”

“You guys aren’t busy, I saw you closing the webpage when I walked in.” Sungmin stretched her arms lazily before sprawling herself over his desk. “Besides, you’re not a man.”

“Oh you’re so funny.” Key re-opened his page and continued browsing through the collection of bags. “Help me pick one out later, okay?”

“I came here for you to listen to me rant. God, I hated how I pretended to be all nice to him at the end.”

“You listened to my advice? Oh baby I’m so proud of you.” Key rolled his eyes. “Purple or blue… hmmm….”

“Bitch, I saw that. Anyhow, back to my life.” Sungmin continued rambling on as her hands scrunched up another piece of paper. “So I pretended to be all nice to him, but I don’t think I can ever do it again.”

“And why is that?” Key flattened out the same piece of paper that was dropped nonchalantly from her hand.

“Because it was so fake; I don’t think I have ever been more fake in my life.”

“Oh Sungminnie-ah, you have got to stop telling so many lies.” Key laughed as Sungmin threw a crinkled ball of paper at him.

“You bitch.” The harmless ball sailed over Key's head and hit the curtains, the swaying folds rocking at a steady rhythm.

“Takes one to know one.” Key winked at her before they blew up in laughter together.

“Anyways, back to me. If being nice made him a beast in bed, then I might consider doing it again.” Sungmin swooned over and fanned herself with a plastic folder from Key’s desk. “You know he took the cotton candy thingy and fucked me with it.”

“Less you, more him.” Key smacked his lips playfully. “Tell me about that body of his.”

“Puhlease, he’s not into guys. And bitch, you stay away from him.” Sungmin snapped her fingers and wiggled her head accordingly.

“Because you would lose to me if I played my cards.” Key laughed again when Sungmin tried strangling him with her hands.

“So that Kyuhyun is paying off a debt for someone?” Shinding twirled a gleaming silver spoon in between his fingers. “Does he not know that is something various dangerous?”

“Guess not, what did you expect from him, he’s just a nobody.” Kibum snickered while Shindong left the spoon impaled on the soft delicacy.

“Kibum, that mouth of yours has to watch itself.” Shindong swirled the melting ice cream with the utensil, coating the concave edge with the creamy yellow colour.

“Well, are we going to report this, maybe then we can shred off some of his power?” Kibum began rambling inside the room.

“No, not yet.” Shindong dropped the spoon as it clattered against the glass. “We wait until he fucks up, then we fuck him up. Kibum-ah, I want some alone time.”

“Good idea, good idea.” Kibum giggled before he left the room.

Shindong continued mushing the ice cream, compressing the half frozen dessert. One day that Kim Kibum was going to get into shit, and there was only so much Shindong could do to protect his ass.

Shindong knows he’s selfish. He didn't come this far to have some immature brat stick his fat fingers into his business. Shindong had worked years to build up his empire within Heechul's reign, and there was no way he is going to hand over power to someone who can't even handle his emotions properly.

He was willing to expend anyone, because everything comes with a cost. Kyuhyun was not reckless, Shindong knew that better than Kyuhyun himself, and losses would be attained no matter how cautious Shindong was. Kibum was just another chip he was willing to wager in the bet against Kyuhyun.

“So?”

“Well, I guess there’s no harm telling you.” Leeteuk took out the crystal studded pen and began playing with it. “Hankyung and Heechul were really close, a while back.”

Eunhyuk shook his head in disbelief, telling Leeteuk to stop with the practical joke.

“Yes, they were, I guess you could say, together.” Eunhyuk sat there as Leeteuk offered him scraps of information he had compiled over the years.

“So, Heechul backstabbed Hankyung when they were under the same boss, even though they were pretty much in love.” Eunhyuk deduced when Leeteuk finished the story. “And then they went their separate ways.”

“Pretty much, yeah.”

“And that Sungmin girl is his sister, but she’s close to Hankyung.” Eunhyuk continued visually piecing the character relation map inside his mind.

“I don’t think she knows what happened between her brother and Hankyung.”

“But, Hankyung wants me to approach her. Why would he want that?”

“I don’t know, Hyukkie. If we receive an order, we do it. There’s no harm. I’m pretty sure Sungmin doesn’t bite.” Leeteuk tried offering a comforting smile, but both of them knew that Sungmin was a bitch. There was no denying that whatsoever.
