my great idea for a POSC 89 (markets and democracy in latin america) term paper is sounding more and more like a paraphrased version of Rossana Castiglioni's The Politics of Social Policy Change in Chile and Uruguay: Retrenchment Versus Maintenance 1973-1998. sigh. i can't help it that i agree with her so damn much and generally love her life. :(
i'm also super jealous that she got to study this topic on the ground (and is teaching in a uni in stgo), whereas i get to study it from the works of people who've already been there/done that.
i know i need to be patient. my time to research will come..i just need to tap a few more resources (like the rotary club).
i can't wait to get back to chile.
