Dance, dance, dance!
Wow... what an unforgettable weekend! Saturday morning I got up bright and early to get ready for the Palace dance competition and we met at 7:45 to get on the bus. When we got there the five of us seniors ran up to save seats and then we stretched and practiced. We watched some teams perform and just hung around and then I finally got to go see Michele. I talked to her for a long time... prolly longer than I should have, but I just missed her so much! We watched JV perform and they did AMAZING and then it was our turn... I was so nervous, but we did AWESOME and there were "no regrets" when we were done. We knew we had done our best and waiting for the awards was so hard. When they announced the awards, JV got 2nd place and varsity got.... FIRST PLACE!!!! It was unbelievably exciting! So we took like a million pictures and then we got pizza for dinner cuz we were staying for the game to dance at halftime! Ms. Michele was working the booth so I got to see her, which made my day even better. So we watched the game and then danced at halftime and it was a blast!
Sunday morning I got up really early to go to the Utica compeition and go watch the solos with Shirk and Nancy and we sat with Michele's team. It was fun and I talked to Michele and she's going to choreograph my senior solo for studio. So we performed again Sunday and we honestly performed to the best of our ability and it was the best anyone has ever seen it... so I guess the judges had their heads up their butts when they were supposed to be watching us cuz we got 3rd place, but whatever.
And then yesterday we learned the guy-girl dance for sweethearts, which is just gonna be hilarious and I'll leave it at that... you'll have to wait until the pep rally to find out anything else :P
