I just figured I'd do a quick update. I started my job at the Cutler-Majestic Theatre last night. It was actually a lot of fun and I got to see Dido & Aeneas for free. The guy who was kind of training me, James, was really cool too. He was also a WLP and was very helpful on my first day. The irony is that when the schedule was originally done, I was only working once this weekend and that was a shift tonight. I told my boss I'd fill in yesturday and this morning, and I's filling in for this girl Priscila tomorrow, so I am pretty much working non-stop this weekend. Today there was not many of us, and even though it was my second day, I was the usher captain of the balcany, and used the headset. I was surprised they already gave me so much responsibility, but it was definitely an interesting experience.
I also got the volunteer job I wanted at the Cambridge Women's Commission. It combines both my major & minor, so it seems like it will be a good experience. I am also thinking of joining the Big Brother/Big Sister program, where I would go once a week and spend an hour with a kid on his/her lunchbreak. If my schedule is not totally crazy, I think I am going to start that. I am also thinking of joining another club, called the Emerson Book Publishing club, which basically emphasizes the "Literture & Publishing" portion of my WLP major. That should be interesting too.
Last weekend was so fun, but it didn't end up being the way i hoped it would. I never saw Mike and I don't think a party really ever happened @ Matt's place like it was supposed to. However, I did spend just about the whole weekend hanging out w/my girls, which is always fun, although it did make me a tad homesick.
