It has always been easier to keep up skill rather than re work it.

Mayfield really is an adjustment. I was lucky because I never really used unrestricted method as much as the other Flame Hazes. I relied on Nietono no Shana.

It is always best to be well rounded. When one observes the battle field if they have many skills to utilize they can choose which skill will best preform for the situation at hand. It is important to be able to be prepared for any situation and to think several steps ahead. The use of unrestricted spells can aid greatly when applying strategies.
