SOOOOO HAPPY!
So Amy (W) just called me a little over an hour ago with the awesomest news!!! She had looked at going to Simmons in Boston to get her PHD so she could be a professor of library science at the college level, but had gotten information that Simmons was discontinuing their program. So she had a plan B, that was to stay in Houston (oh yea, she lives there) and get her PHD at the school near her since they offered the program there. So, she was on Simmons' website today and saw that they were revamping their program and would be offering it again in Fall of 2006 so she emailed the director of the program and talked to her and all this stuff and now she's super considering it...and hopefully 99% sure she'll be moving back here! that makes me so happy....happy for her cause it's what she wanted and happy for me because I miss her and it's hard to see her since she lives in Texas. So now she's got to look into taking her GRE's and then start the application process to Simmons and look for a place to live (but I'm gonna help her with that) and she's going to come visit in March anyway so yaaaaaaay!
okay. I'm watching the Red Sox now and Ortiz and Manny just hit back to back home runs and it was Ortiz's 45th of the season and now he only needs to hit 6 more to be #1 for alltime Red Sox most home runs in one season. (#1 right now is Jimmie Foxx with 50) I think Ortiz definitely has a shot at surpassing this record.
And let's all hope that Schilling is on tonight. thank you.
